I like to use body washes all year long. Summer calls for refreshing body washes. I have ditched Dove body wash for a while to indulge into new ranges. I have been using 2 body washes from Palmolive – Thermal Spa & Heavenly Vanilla. The two are kind of different in terms of the refreshment & nourishment. Let’s talk about these two body washes today. Palmolive Body Wash Thermal Spa The body wash is enriched with White Clay & Thermal Minerals, so you experience a refreshing shower. The body wash also contains scrubbing particles to leave your skin clean & massaged. Price Rs. 170 for 250ml. Buy here. Ingredients My Experience The body wash comes in a fish shaped transparent light blue colored bottle. The shower bottle has a dark blue flip top cap to dispense the body wash. The shower gel is light blue colored giving a refreshing feeling to eyes. This is a gel based shower gel. A dollop is enough to give nice lather upon wet loofah. It smells refreshingly cool & mildly sweet as clay. The body wash seem to have very minute scrubbing particles too, but they are not much effective than a loofah itself when coming to massaging & scrubbing effect. I quite enjoy this body wash mostly due to it’s refreshing effect & smell. I like to use it during sleepy mornings to get an instant awakening. My skin feels clearer & smoother. I do moisturize my skin thoroughly afterwords, since it is a gel based body wash. Palmolive Body Butter Body Wash Heavenly Vanilla This is a moisturizing body wash. This body wash is newly introduced under the Body Butter range from Palmolive. I have also seen Strawberry version in this range. Palmolive claims to provide rich formula with this body wash so that you can experience a moisturized & supple skin after every shower. Price Rs. 190 for 250ml. Buy here. Ingredients My Experience The packaging does not differ much from the other versions of the body wash. The body wash is packed inside an off white plastic bottle with a purple colored flip top cap at the top. The body wash is cream based as the body wash is from the body butter range. This body wash is supposed to be moisturizing in nature. The body wash lathers well. True to the name of the body wash, it smells heavenly but coconuty-sweet. I admire Dove body washes for their moisturizing effect, but since it was a new range from Palmolive, I thought to test it out too. It is good, creamy almost feels lie Dove body wash texture wise. It leaves skin moisturized, but nothing overpowering. Comparing Dove & this body wash, I feel both have comparable moisturizing effect on the skin. Summary If you like to use refreshing smells in the morning to wake up, go for Palmolive Thermal Spa Body Wash. On the other hand, Palmolive Body Butter Body Wash Heavenly Vanilla is a moisturizing body wash. Both are reasonably priced for the quantity & the quality provided. Feet are very prone to get the least attention when it comes to body pampering. I myself feel lazy to give little more than a regular wash & moisturizer to my feet. Result? Dull & tanned feet crying for little love. Thanks to this article, I gave some love to my feet, trust me they were in very bad shape. They need more care, which I promised to give on regular basis. So I was saying, we do not need many things to take care of our feet. We can do pedicure at home with the things that we already have. We just need to skip being lazy. Let’s do a at home session with me today. What You Need To Clean Your Feet? Water tub with little warm water filled in it so that your feet are fully submerged into it. A Nail Clipper / Nail Filer Nail Paint remover & Cotton A Mild Shampoo /Body Wash Scrub / Bath Salt / Loofah Light Massaging cream / Glycerin Love For Your Feet That’s all going to do what it takes to pamper your feet. You can use a nail clipper or a nail filer, depending on what you have handy. Also In case you have your nail paint on your toes, you will need to have a nail paint remover with some cotton. A shampoo or a body wash in warm water, works to bring down the hardness of your soles. Which could be scrubbed away with a loofah or scrub. Bath Salt gives kind of luxurious feeling & have some therapeutic properties attached to it. Since I have Soul Flower Germanium Bath Salt lying around, I would like to use it. You can use any scrub or loofah to scrub away dead skin. A massage cream seals the moisture in the skin making it soft & supple. You can use any moisturizer or even Glycerin. If you would like to use Hydrogen Peroxide (to treat tan), you must use Glycerin or a nice massage cream since Hydrogen Peroxide can be harsh & drying on your skin. I do have Hydrogen Peroxide with me, but I do not like to use it I do not consider it good for skin in long term. How To Do Pedicure At Home? Start by pouring some shampoo/ body wash (& some bath salt, if you are using one) in to the warm water tub. Dip your feet in the water. If you would like to use Hydrogen Peroxide too, pour 2-3 tablespoon of it into the water. In case you are wearing nail paint, remove it using a nail paint remover & cotton or ready made nail paint remover. Clip your nails, if you feel like to. Shape them. Clean the sides of your nails of any dirt deposited inside. Make sure your soles are still dipped into the water so that the shampoo is doing it’s job. Grab some scrub & give a nice scrubbing to your feet including in between your toes & soles. You can also use a loofah to remove the hard dead skin at your soles. Wash your feet in clean water & wipe them with towel. Now it’s time to moisturize them. Use a massage cream or glycerin to give a light massage to your feet. You can do this as long as you want. By this step your feet must have gotten clean of tan & dead skin. Now you can paint your toe nails or just leave them without any paint for few days. I always fall for cute packaging. I am a hoarder and sucker of cute little pots and boxes. The Face Shop Mini Pert Perfumed Hand Cream is such a product which I saw and fell in love with instantly. It was too cute to miss. I was hearing voices “Pick Me Up”. I picked it. I was bedazzled and then I sniffed the cute pot. For a second the cute-packaging-magic poofed away since I was not too fond of utterly sweet smells. The cream did not smell floral, but powdery sweet. I didn’t care how it smelled, all I cared was how it looked. I grabbed it. About The Face Shop Lovely Me:ex Mini Pet Perfumed Hand Cream White Floral It is a very light formula with high moisturization. The hand cream contains Shea Butter & Argan Oil which are high on moisture levels. The brand claims that the hand cream contains anti oxidants which keeps your skin soft and beautiful. The perfumed hand cream will cheer up your mood. Price Rs. 430 for 30ml . Buy here at discounted price. Ingredients Packaging Let’s talk about it’s packaging. It comes in a hot pink tub with a pastel pink screw-over lid in the shape of a kitten head. It feels like the kitten is peeking out of the pot. The kitten’s front paws are also crafted on the pot. That’s what makes the packaging really cute. Nothing much is printed on the pot except “Mini Pet Floral“. The ingredient list is provided at the bottom of the pot. Variants 01 Baby Powder, 02 Sweet Fruits, 03 White Floral, 04 Fruity Floral. Colour, Texture & Smell It’s texture is very fine, smooth & quick absorbing without leaving any greasiness behind. This is a very expected virtue of a hand cream, to leave nothing behind so that you can touch any object without leaving greasy stains behind. It is white in colour and has a powdery sweet smell. It smells strong but does not linger on hands for long. My Experience I generally don’t buy a hand cream, that’s too lavish I feel. I use a body lotion whenever I wash my hands. As I already mentioned, it was too cute to pass. But I do not regret buying this because it is a decent hand cream. Moisturizing and quick absorbing. I like the non greasy formula that it has. So I can just type on my laptop or use my cell phone use it without having to worry about leaving greasy stains behind. It moisturizes my hands very well during winter because, that’s the time when I use it. I remember, I used to keep a pot of this hand cream in my office drawer and my team would use it because it smelled nice for their liking. Even though its smell is sweet for my liking I have kind of grown over it and it does not bother me anymore. Also the smell does not stay for long, unless I really sniff my hands. One pot lasts about 2 months of daily usage as you need really small amount for each application. It makes it economical. Likes Light & quick absorbing formula. Way too cute packaging. Moisturizes skin beautifully. Does not leave behind any stickiness or greasiness. Contains goodness of Shea Butter & Argan Oil. Korean skin care at affordable price. Easy to carry. Lasts long. Economical. Dislikes The smell is little strong, utterly sweet and not floral. Summary : ❤❤❤❤ A moisturizing hand cream with the goodness of Argan Oil & Shea Butter. That too in a very cute kitten shaped pot. It is not a must have but I am sure you won’t be able to say no to it. Hi, you all. How are you doing my lovely bees? You up for another body lotion? Okay then. Let’s talk about a non greasy but moisturising body lotion today. Yeah, you read it right, a non greasy body lotion and that too moisturising. It’s from Vaseline. Vaseline makes awesome body lotions, I feel. I pick a Vaseline product without thinking much. Because it’s trusted brand. Let me tell you how I liked this particular body lotion. About Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Non Greasy Body Lotion Vaseline claims about this body lotion is a non greasy formula, but restores very dry skin within 5 days.It contains micro-droplets of Vaseline Jelly which is a patent technology by Vaseline. Also it is lightly scented. Ingredients Price Rs. 105 for 100ml. Buy here at discounted price. Packaging It comes in a white sturdy plastic container with flip top. It also comes in a 300ml size bottle. Colour, Texture & Smell It is a white coloured opaque, water based body lotion. It is literally non greasy, I do not feel even a hint of oil/greasiness in this body lotion. It is just like a water based face moisturiser. It is light weight. It gets absorbed really fast because of it’s formulation.The texture is smooth but little powdery. I would describe it’s smell is also powdery sweet, not to my liking. But once applied there are only hints of sweetness, and it does not irritate my other wise sensitive nose glands. My Experience My hands are extremely dry in nature since I have a habit of washing hands so many times through out the day. I mostly use Cocoa based body lotions for intensive moisture for my dry skin. I was not sure if this non greasy formula would be enough for my dry skin. I bought it anyway since I needed a small bottle for travel purpose. I first applied this, on my hands, it just vanished into my skin, like my skin literally drank it. I felt, it’s not going to be enough. But no it was really enough. I tried to draw lines on the back of my hand with nails, but I could not. This is how I test a body lotion. Since most of the body lotions are rich in oils, so I have tendency to find some shine in my skin after applying a body lotion, but there was no such shine. Just smooth and normal looking skin. I continued using this body lotion for about a week on my hands only since they are the most driest part of my body. They did feel smooth and there were no dry lines. Also my laptop keyboard did not had oil stains due to the body lotion which is again a very good thing. Even though I do not like the overly sweet smell of this body lotion, it does not bother me much after wearing it. It goes away within a minute or two. If you like sweet smells you will definitely adore this body lotion. There are no as such negatives of this body lotion, but yeah, I feel skin does not look as healthy as opposed to when I use a rich in moisture formula, like cocoa butter/shea butter /almond oil based body lotion. It is little bit pricey than the regular body lotions. I will use this during summer when you require moisture but without greasiness in AC environment. Likes Non greasy formula. Not a hint of greasiness. Takes away skin dry-ness. Easy and quick absorbing formula. Skin looks & feels smooth. Light smell. Sturdy packaging. Dislikes Little bit pricey than other variant/brands. Beautiful Perfumed Body Spray : Review

I am not fond of strong smells. I also do not like the ultimate sweet or fruity smells. I like flowery sweet smells. Beautiful Perfumed Spray is not any flowery deodorant, but somehow I still like the mild yet masculine smell that it has. I have been using this deodorant from more than 5 years now, on and off. It has been able to make a permanent stay in my kitty due to the unique smell and it’s attractive packaging. It is not widely available, I generally buy it from a general store in Gurgaon whenever I go to meet my parents. I have also started spotting it online on Amazon and few other shopping websites recently. About Beautiful Perfumed Body Spray A gentle, effective deodorant and truly masculine combine to leave you feeling refreshed, revitalised and confident. Even the company states that the deodorant has some masculine factor to it. I think they got it right. I have a liking for men’s perfumes and body sprays, many women do. Adding a little masculine element to a woman’s fragrance make it more catchy. The smell also stays for longer with strong such strong notes. Price Rs. 170 for 200ml Ingredients Packaging I quite like the pink gradient packaging that the body spray comes in. The bottle is sturdy, but I don’t like to travel with it since it is a 200ml bottle. I have not spotted a smaller size. My Views As I already mentioned that it is not a regular feminine smell. Don’t expect to smell fruity sweet after wearing it. It is different, little stronger than the common women deodorants. The top notes make you feel like you are smelling high notch woody fragrance, but the bottom notes are little powdery-sweet. The smell is gentle and mild. It does not irritate my nose as Fogg Fragrant Deodorant does. I like the fact that the smell stays the same even after wearing it for hours. It does not fade away as the day proceeds. I have tested the body spray in summers and winters. I do not sweat profusely but summers need a good deodorant to keep and stay fresh all day long. This deodorant stays with me. I have not tried but also have not spotted this deodorant in my locality or departmental stores. I do not like this fact that it is not easily available. Since it lasts long, I do not need to buy it every now and then. I still would like to be it available easily. If you are aware I just finished it last month. Also the bottle is not travel friendly. I have asked the retailer to get me a smaller sized bottle of this deodorant, but he said, this is the only size it comes in. I can’t carry it around in my handbag. Or whenever I go for some trips out station I need a special space for this in my language. Except Eva, I think, every brand provides single sized deodorant. Correct me if I am wrong. Likes Unique fragrance. A mix of woody and sweet. Just perfect blend of masculine and feminine smells. The smell is little masculine but mild and gentle to be worn by women. The smell stays with you all day long. Beautiful and sturdy packaging. I do not know why, but I keep on dropping it and it is wounded from so many places. One bottle lasts me for 2-3 months. Affordable. Dislikes Not easily available. Have spotted it online, but not that widely. It comes in a single 200ml packaging which is not travel friendly. Summary : 4.5/5 A blend of masculine and feminine smells into a mild and gentle formula gives me all day long protection from odour. It is affordable but not widely available. I am also a fond of Nivea Whitening Skin Smooth Deodorant. Signing off with love.

The body wash lasts really long, since I need just a little for a single shower. So it is pretty economical. Likes Creamy texture. Moisturising body wash. Smells pleasant. Convenient & Sturdy packaging One bottle lasts very long. The body wash does not leave any slippery feeling behind. Skin does not feel dry after shower. Affordable. Contains mild exfoliating beads.
