May is over and I missed my monthly empties post. So I am awake right now at 1.30 a.m. to prepare the list and share it with you. It’s important for me, to keep a journal of my empty stuff. This monthly post motivates me to finish stuff at hand even if I am bored of using it. This month, I managed to finish a lot of products. So it was important to put this post up here. If you are with me from a while, you must be already aware of the fact that I prefer using Vitamin C serums & night creams. Vitamin C based products help my skin to diminish scars left behind by acne while giving anti ageing effects. O3+ Agelock Vitamin C Booster Serum is a great night serum (do not use it during day time), for the effect that it gives to my skin with out breaking it out. It helps to achieve a clearer skin within few days. But one has to stop using it a bit in between, other wise skin gets used to it & it stops working. I am currently breaking off with this serum and using Garnier White Night Cream only. Rose water is a very essential element in skin care. You can use it as toner, in a mask or as a mist. It is multi usage product. I like to use Patanjali Gulab Jal/Rose Water. Though I have never really thought about the effects that it gives to my skin, I just find it economical. I bought Za Perfect Solution Youth Whitening Serum during last winter, because it is a great day serum that moisturizes skin while giving brightening effect. Not purchasing it any time soon, since my skin do not need that much moisture now. Patanjali Soundrya Aloe Vera Gel is already famous in a short span of time. It is as popular as it’s original version. I have already got a bigger tube of this aloe vera gel. I have heard a lot of Neem’s effect to clear out acne. Neem is a good blood purifier. I spotted Patanjali Neem Ghanvati at a local store few months back, I picked it up. It is advised to take one tablet twice a day daily. I am quite regular with this tablet which smells & tastes like actual Neem, but I have not noticed any measurable change in acne breakouts or skin complexion. Guess I am not getting it again. Pond’s Triple Vitamin Moisturizing Lotion is a very old body lotion. It makes me feel Nostalgic. I remember my mom started using it first. It smell very good & reminds me of her, while I am away from her. It is a heavy duty body lotion and mainly suitable for winter & dry skin. I get this every winter. My current favorite eye cream is Oriflame Optimals White Seeing Is Believing. It is an effective, budget friendly, light textured & fast absorbing eye cream. Though it can not miraculously erase dark circles, but it helps to brighten the eye area & minimize fine lines under eyes. I have numerous small glass pots of this eye cream, which I just can’t throw into the trash bin. Maybelline Baby Lips is one of the best lip balm. Every girl has some of them. I too have got few & managed to finish Wow Candy Raspberry flavor by the end of the month. I also managed to finish Maybelline Gel Liner in Black which is a renowned gel liner and favorite of all girls. I did not use Incolor Lovers Rough Lipstick much, but my son used it as his crayon. He literally drew things with this lipstick & the lipstick met it’s fate. I don’t generally use blush/cheek stain. I got this cheek stain, from City Color in one of my Fab Bag edition last year. I have used it few times, it is good in color & texture but little low at color pay off. Not purchasing it again. This concludes my empties post for May 2017. I hope you too somehow find my post motivating to finish your stuff instead of it occupying storage in your dresser. Make space in your cabinet for new stuff by using the old one first. Let me know how much products do you manage to finish by the end of every month? Love.

Blue Heaven Blush On Glitters is an good palette for 120 bucks. The pigmentation of the dark shades is good, while the lighter shades are not much promising. The brush won't give you desired pigmentation too, hence either use fingers or a separate blush brush. The glitters stays only for initial hour and later you are left with matte subtle color on your cheeks. The dark shades are very wearable from the palette for all complexions.

Sleek Makeup is not new to anyone who is even little bit into makeup. Sleek comes with innovative and quality products every now and then. Today I am going to talk about a blush from Sleek Makeup in Pomegranate. It is a lovely shade and give very gorgeous colour upon application. There are 10 shades offered by Sleek in this range and every shade is gorgeous. About Sleek Makeup Blush Pomegranate Sleek Makeup is famous for catering to all skin tones, hence you will always find so many shades in every range by the brand. About this blush range Sleek has to say that the formula is intensely pigmented and lasts long while giving you an even toned glowy look. The blush comes in 10 shades to match every skin tone and every mood. Price $6.99 for 0.27 oz. Buy here. Ingredients Packaging The packaging is true to the brand’s name, Sleek. It comes in a sleek black matte case with a mirror attached. The black case makes a click sound when closed and is quite secure too for travelling. On the black case Sleek Makeup is embossed. Ingredients are also mentioned at the bottom of the packaging. How To Use Make sure you have got your makeup base ready as in the foundation/ setting powder. Once done, pick a little blush via a blush/ contouring blush. Dust off any excess product by taping at the corners of the blush pan. Swipe across the apples of your cheeks giving subtle hints of the colour. Later build up the pigmentation of the colour as much as you want. Make sure not to leave behind harsh lines and blend seamlessly using a blending brush. Texture & Smell The blush is fine powder which is easy to pick using fingers or brush. It is easy to blend into the skin. It is highly buildable to and does not look chalky and is also easy to dust off the skin if applied in excess.the blush does not smell anything. Shade Variants Pixie Pink, Coral, Life’s A Peach, Flamingo, Rose Gold, Suede, Sahara, Pomegranate, Antique, Flushed, Sunrise. Shade – Pomegranate There are about 10 shades in the blush range form Sleek Makeup. I heart most of them. They really appealed to me when I viewed some online swatches. This shade Pomegranate is a reddish plum shade with subtle shimmer in it. It is more of a warm shade which suits my wheatish skin tone. It is also suitable for medium to dark skin tones. The shimmer is not that obvious and is rather has sheen effect on the skin. ** I sometimes use it as an eyeshadow too to match my plum lipstick 🙂 Pigmentation The blush is highly pigmentation. Need a little swipe across the pan and then on the cheeks to get the subtle glow and colour on my cheeks. I can build up the pigmentation as mush as I want with out looking ashy or chalky. Longevity Since the pigmentation is nice and the colour is on the darker side of the colour wheel, the blush stays for more than 5-6 hours on my oily skin given that I am wearing some foundation beneath. I think that is highly impressive. On dry skins however, I think this blush will last longer. Likes Very smooth and fine texture. High in pigmentation. Staying power is impressive even on oily skin. The particular shade Pomegranate is very gorgeous. Gives subtle sheen on cheeks. Will suit most of the skin tones, specially the medium-dark skin tones. The shade variety is huge. Attractive and travel friendly packaging. Dislikes Available via few online websites only which makes it pricey to otherwise affordable price. Summary : ❤❤❤❤❤ I have got few eye palette from Sleek Makeup and I am really impressed with the pigmentation and staying power of the same. The blush Pomegranate is a gorgeous reddish plum shade with impressive pigmentation and staying power. Even though availability is an issue but can be acquired via few online websites.

Maybelline has always provided decent products but this time it is a dud to me. The blush is so low on pigmentation that it won't show much on the skin. Also, the shade name is little misguiding. I would not recommend buying it until you want to have a peachy shimmery cheek for 2-3 hours.

It’s going to be a quick post about the makeup products I use mostly everyday. All the products are budget products, easily available. Suit my and skin tone & type. I started wearing the Pond’s BB Cream about 3 years ago, and since then, it’s been with me. I like the natural finish it gives to my skin. Unlike Lakme’s CC cream, it does not give any white cast. Maybelline’s Super Fresh Compact is new addition to my vanity, but is really promising. Before this I used to wear Lakme 9 to 5 compact. I will review these two very soon. On good skin days, I like to wear some blush. Mostly it’s cheeky Glow, but winters are good to fluent creamy blushes too. City Color Cheeky Stain is a warm toned cream blush which I mostly prefer because of it’s natural finish. Cover Girl Lip Gloss was another budget find incidentally. It’s very beautiful every day wear shade. L’Oreal Paris Kajal Magique, was unintentional buy, but proved to be a good buy. Will try to review it soon. I don’t like high drama mascaras for daily wear. Maybelline’s The Falsies gives very natural looking eye lashes. I don’t know why but I am just so in love with this eye palette from Makeup Revolution. It has got versatile colors to give you awesome looks for day and night. I am just short on time today, otherwise would have added more stuff to the post. Gotta run some errands before the day ends. Let me know if you use the same products I do? Leave your comments. Love…

I am not much of a blush person, I hardly wear one because I hardly need one. I am not being narcissist. All I mean is since I have acne spots & hyper pigmentation, my cheeks are generally flushed. Still, I like to carry one sometimes when I really am in the mode of some real color, or my face looks flat due to foundation (Lakme Absolute is one such foundation). If I remember correctly my first blush was from Maybelline. It used to come in a black case with see through lid and a scratchy brush to apply the blush. I used to use my fingers to apply the blush though. After that, I think I have used few more blushes from Lakme, MAC, NYX & Inglot. Right now I only have four blushes out of which only one is used most of the times. Others have vanished away somewhere, only my toddler knows. Makeup Revolution London Vivid Blush Lacquer in O’ BOY I love it. I haven’t worn any other blush since I got this. I was just browsing through fab bag website while I came across this. I read some reviews & viewed swatches and I instantly fell in love with it. Sells at Rs.750. Consistency & Colour – It is not a cream or powder but a dense liquid blush. The consistency is in between liquid & cream. It is cool pink toned blush, which will mostly suit fair/wheatish skin tones. Since, it is quite dense in consistency, it is easy to apply but needs quick blending as it dries off quickly. Pigmentation & Staying Power – It is quite pigmented, hence quite less product is needed. It lasts long. Its staying power is decent. It starts fading after 4-5 hours. City Color Cheek Stain in Mauve There was a phase when I was hooked on cream blushes. I horded cream blushes from MAC, Inglot & NYX. The NYX blush stayed my favourite for quite a long since they were easy on pocket. Recently I stumbled upon City Color Cosmetics cream blushes. There were so many shaded. I picked Mauve. It retails at Rs. 300 only. Quite affordable… huh? Consistency & Colour– It is a cream blush, a very creamy one. It comes in a stick just like a lipstick with a clear cap on it. Its really easy to apply & blend. The shade Mauve, that I got, is not really mauve but a shimmery peachy shade. These are known as cheek stains. I also have got some lip stains from this brand which I adore. Pigmentation & Staying Power– Pigmentation of this blush is average. Since it is quite shimmery, you actually don’t notice much color, but just shimmers. It looks good actually. Stays on cheeks for 3-4 hours. Maybelline Cheeky Glow in Fresh Coral Maybelline is such a brand which offers awesome products even if you are on a budget. The cheeky Glow blushes were quite a hit when they were introduced. The shades were nice. It retails at only Rs.250. Consistency & Colour– For an oily skin girl, its good to use powder blushes especially during summers. Powder blushes stays for long and gives mattifying look. This blush from maybelline is also a powder based blush. You can just grab a blush brush, swirl onto the blush, tap the excess and apply it on your cheeks. So classy, isn’t it? The shade Fresh Coral is kinda leaning more towards pink, but suits my wheatish tone. Pigmentation & Staying Power– I am not impressed by the pigmentation. You have to take a lot of product to actually show on your cheeks. You have to apply multiple layers of the product your cheeks to build the pigmentation. Staying power is not impressive on oily skin. Purely Pro Blush in Universal I also used to own another shade in this blush ‘Lovely‘ which I gave away to a dear friend as she liked it quite much. Consistency & Colour– The shade, Universal, is another powder blush in pink with some shimmer. Its not as cool toned as the one from Makeup Revolution, but is rather a warm pink. It will suit all skin tones. Pigmentation & Staying Power– It is quite pigmented as opposed to Maybelline’s cheeky glow. One swipe is enough to give your cheeks pink hue. Also staying power is 3-4 hours. I prefer this over Maybelline’s cheeky glow. I didn’t swatch the blushes separately just to give you a view of different/similar the shades are from each other as it gets easier to compare them with each other. How many do you own? Stay High, Stay Fab.
