I thought it would be a good idea to provide you guys a guide to their products along with my honest review. The range contains baby cleansers, face cream, laundry detergent, liquid cleanser, soap, after bite balm, mosquito repellent and many more items. Let’s get on with the review part so that you could decide if these products are good for your little bundle of joy or not. Let’s learn about the brand itself in case you are new to Mother Sparsh. About Mother Sparsh The brand came into existence back in the year 2016. They got really famous for their innovative baby wipes. They slowly rolled out plant-based natural products for babies and kids. The brand is quite cautious about the environment, as well as the well, being of babies. Hence it is becoming a cult favorite brand of those people who seek natural products without harming the environment. Mother Sparsh Plant-Powered range ensures that our kids receive the best of nature without getting exposed to the harmful chemicals. It is free of SLS, silicones, parabens, and artificial colors, fragrance, and dyes. The range includes every product that a baby may need at any time. Let’s have a look over the complete range. Mother Sparsh Plant Powered Natural Baby Wash This tear-free natural baby wash is enriched with Chamomile Oil, Avocado Oil, and Coconut Oil. This baby wash is a head to toe baby wash. Aarav is 6 years old, but I still use this baby wash for him as I never expose him to chemical-based products. This clear and runny baby wash has a very soothing aroma. The fragrance does not feel artificial but a thoughtful blend of herbs and natural oils. The baby wash lathers really well. It does not leave behind any slippery feeling as a chemical-laden baby wash does. Since the wash contains so many natural oils, Aarav’s sensitive skin does not feel dry post using the wash. i use this wash as a shampoo for him once every week. It works pretty well for his hair too. Ingredients Price Rs. 385 for 200ml. Mother Sparsh Plant Powered Natural Baby Lotion Post using the baby wash, it’s time to put on the baby lotion. Mother Sparsh baby lotion is one of their best product apart from the baby wipes. It has such a dreamy consistency that it sinks into the skin within a few seconds. It moisturizes the skin very well without feeling greasy or chipchip. I do not want to bad mouth Mamaearth, but I really regretted purchasing Mamaearth baby lotion for Aarav. Their baby lotion is powdery and thick, it takes forever to get absorbed. Mother Sparsh baby lotion contains Organic Shea Butter, Avocado Oil, and Coconut oil. The key ingredients explain the effectiveness of the lotion. suitable for all skin types, the baby lotion is a great takeaway from the range. Ingredients Price Rs. 395 for 200ml Mother Sparsh Plant Powered Natural Face Cream Aarav’s skin is normal, he never needed a separate skin cream even during winter. HE anyways hates using anything over his face. But some babies have extra dry skin and they might need a face cream. This product is totally optional. If you use baby lotion, then you might not need to use separate face cream for your kid. Mother Sparsh Plant Powered Natural Face Cream is enriched with Organic Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Wheatgerm Oil. The face cream promises to protect your baby’s skin from Psoriasis, Eczema etc. I could not test their claim as Aarav’s skin is perfectly healthy since birth. The cream is a bit thick in texture but gets absorbed really fast. It has the same fragrance as the baby wash and baby lotion. Skin feels soft and hydrated after using this cream. Ingredients Price Rs. 349 for 50g Mother Sparsh Water-Based Baby Wipes I have written a lot about Mother Sparsh baby wipes. I even performed a flame test to test the purity of these wipes as Mother Sparsh claims. So, I am quite impressed with the quality of the wipes. The wipes are unscented and thick as a face towel. I have used these wipes for Aarav as well as for me. Ingredients Purified Water, Polyaminopropyl Biguanide, Sodium Benzoate, Glucose Vegetable Origin Wheat, Calendula Extract. Price A resealable pack for 72 baby wipes for Rs. 299 Mother Sparsh Natural Sunscreen Lotion I feel kids do not get enough of the sun anyways. And they should be exposed to the sun every day for some time so that their bodies can make adequate amounts of Vitamin D. I don’t let Aarav wear sunscreen unless he has to go under the sun for continuous hours which happens rarely. If you like to put on sunscreen on your kids you can definitely do so. Mother Sparsh Natural Sunscreen Lotion is a nice option. Going by its ingredients, it contains natural ingredients that provide a shield against the harmful rays of the sun. This sunscreen is free of Titanium Oxide which is considered to be harmful to sensitive skin. The formula is water-resistant, nonsticky, and easy to absorb. The fragrance of the sunscreen is also quite mild and pleasant. Ingredients Aloe Vera Oil, Calendula Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Coconut Oil, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Wheatgerm Oil. Price Rs. 349 for 100ml. Mother Sparsh Plant Powered Laundry Detergent For Babies It is important to use a good quality laundry detergent fo your bay/kid as your kid might be allergic to the strong and harmful chemicals present in the ordinary laundry detergent. A close friend of mine had a baby and her baby started receiving rashes and allergy despite using natural baby lotion and creams. Then her pediatrician suggested switching to natural laundry detergent for her baby’s clothes. And her laundry detergent turned out to be the real culprit. I too always relied on using a mild and natural laundry detergent for Aarav’s clothes. I have tried Patanjali’s detergent, but I was not much satisfied. Now I am using Mother Sparsh laundry detergent to wash Aarav’s clothes. Though the detergent is not impressed with the cleanliness and I have to make great efforts to get rid of the stains from his clothes. But I am assured he is not getting exposed to harsh chemicals. How To Use I dip his clothes in a bucket full of water and about a cupful of Mother Sparsh liquid detergent. After 10-15 minutes I rub on the stains and rinse the clothes thoroughly. The detergent lathers a lot hence takes a lot of water to get out of the clothes completely, which is kind of a turn-off. After Air drying the clothes, the clothes have a nice and mild smell left which feels good. It goes away after a few minutes though. Ingredients Price Rs. 649 for 1000ml. You can also get a refill for Rs. 349 for 500ml. Mother Sparsh Baby Liquid Cleanser When I became a mommy, I used to wash Aarav’s toys in soap water and I was still not sure if the toys were clean enough. For his mild bottles using the dishwashing liquid did not seem like a good idea. Anyhow my new mommy days are over, glad Mother Sparsh brought this much-awaited baby liquid cleanser. Basically this liquid cleanser is for those baby items, which cannot be washed using normal soap and water, like babies’ bottles, toys, or accessories. These things should be cleaned on a regular interval to keep your baby protected. But water dilutes the strength of normal soap. Also, there are chemicals present in ordinary soap that we don’t want a baby to get exposed to. Mother Sparsh Baby Liquid Cleanser is a clear runny gel which can be diluted in water and could be used to clean anything a baby touches. Such a lifesaver for mommies. The liquid contains green apple and basil which are tough at stains but gentle on baby. This liquid can be used to clean baby’s bottles, nipples, feeding accessories, and toys. Ingredients Price Rs. 449 for 500ml. Refil available at Rs. 399 for 500ml. Mother Sparsh Natural Insect Repellent An insect repellent is a must-have for babies and kids especially as the summers start. Somehow I feel babies nad kids attract insects a lot. If there is a single mosquito in the room, Aarav would get definitely get bitten. I make sure he wears a natural mosquito repellent all the time. Mother Sparsh Natural Insect Repellent contains Lemon Grass Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, and Citronella Oil. all these oils are the best guard against insects. The repellent keeps away mosquitos, fleas, and ants. The smell of the mosquito repellent is obviously strong for kids and babies. Aarav especially does not like it. So I use a fabric roll on for him. This repellent could be used for babies above 3 months. The product comes ina spray packaging, hence it is easy to use. Ingredients Lemongrass, Eucalyptus, Citronella, Camphor, Base Price Rs. 249 for 100ml Mother Sparsh Anti Insect Fabric Roll-On As I mentioned, Aarav does not like to put much on his skin, a mosquito repellent is a big no-no for him. So I use a fabric roll-on instead. Mother Sparsh Anti Insect Fabric Roll-On has almost the same ingredients as the insect repellent but it goes on fabric. It works perfectly to repel mosquitoes and insects. Ingredients Lemongrass, Eucalyptus, Citronella, Camphor, Base Price Rs. 99 for 12ml Mother Sparsh Plant-Powered Turmeric After Bite Balm We protect our kids as much as we can. Stil sometimes, a mosquito or an insect bite can leave a baby/kid irritated and in pain. It happened recently. Aarav got a mosquito bite while playing on the rooftop and he was constantly scratching his arm. That’s when Mother Sparsh Turmeric Balm came handy. The balm has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. It could be used to relieve insect bites, rashes, and irritated skin. It also helps to reduce skin swelling and itchiness. At the same time, I also make sure the products are eco friendly. I feel we are in a century where we must be really cautious about the products that we use for us and for our kids. Dove Baby is a new range from our beloved Dove. From a long time, I had been checking out this range including Dove Baby Head To Toe wash & Dove Baby Lotion. I just got Dove Baby Bathing Bar to try out the range since my son is already loving Aveeno Baby Lotion & I am quite happy with Himalaya Baby Shampoo. I have used two bars of Dove Baby Soap for my son & I think it’s high time that I share my baby’s bathing experience with this soap with you. Dove Baby Bathing Bar Sensitive Moisture Baby’s skin is very fragile and needs extra care & moisture. After every bath baby’s skin loses moisture up to 5 times faster than an adult’s skin. Dove’s Sensitive Bathing Moisture Bathing Bar makes is specially developed for baby’s sensitive skin with mild fragrance to suit her skin and minimizes possibilities of allergies. Dove Baby Bar contain’s 1/4 moisturizing cream to replenish baby’s skin moisture & nutrients of the baby’s skin to keep it soft & healthy. Baby’ skin’s pH level is restored. Ingredients Price & Availability I got a pack of 3 baby soaps for just 135 INR. The soap is newly launched but is widely available online & offline. Packaging The soap is conveniently packed in a white & blue themed card box. Dove logo is printed over the box as well as on the soap. The shape of the soap is same as the one for women bathing bar. How Does It Perform? Since the shape & size of the soap is same as the original dove bar, one would not even notice if this is for a baby. The smell is same as of the original one, mild yet pleasant. Also it does not lather much, even though it contains Sodium Laurel Sulfate. I wonder why Dove did not formulate a baby soap without SLS. Well, it does it’s job of cleaning my son of dirt. Surprisingly I do not feel any creaminess in the texture or leather of the soap unlike the original soap. I wonder why is that. It should have been more creamy in texture & leather. Also it rinse very easily off the skin. There is no slippery feeling as we tend to get after using a moisture rich product. My son is 3 years old and he has normal skin type. I feel it is okay types for his skin. He does not need much moisture yet. I treat his skin with moisturizing baby lotion after bath and he has happy skin. Even if I do not put any lotion, his skin behaves pretty well. Maybe it’s the season that has been pretty good for skin and hair in general. But I am not sure how this soap is going to perform during the upcoming colder months. Do I Recommend Dove Baby Bathing Soap? If your baby has normal sin type, this one is a good choice since it does not irritate baby’s fragile skin as well as does not have extra sweet fragrance. For extra dry skin or winter, any baby soap is not enough. A moisture rich lotion is any way needed. Side Effects Of Dove Baby Bathing Bar My boy’s skin is sensitive, I choose his products very carefully. Dove baby bathing bar, is really mild on his skin. His skin never developed any reaction towards the soap. It cannot moisturize his skin on it’s own, but it does not dry it either. I feel the soap is safe for babies. Dove Baby Bathing Soap, is mild, non irritating, affordable & easily available baby soap. Dove is a trusted name hence I tried it on my baby too. I find this is a basic soap, it’s nothing extra ordinary in terms of moisture for dry skin. Glad that it keeps baby’s skin healthy by maintaining skin’s pH level. I received this product from Aveeno Baby about 2 weeks ago. Since then I have been using it for my son. I don’t generally use just any baby product on my son since he has sensitive skin. But after reading the labels of the product I was very convinced and decided to try it for him. It’s been about 2 weeks now, I have been using it for him once in the morning before his school and sometimes at night if he takes another bathe. He does not have ultra dry skin, but I am sure the consistency and the moisture rich formula of this lotion will cure any dry skin. He likes to slather himself in the lotion by himself and then I would give him a mini massage every morning. His skin feels soft & moisturized afterwords. I do not need to reapply it until next day. It surely is able to provide his skin 24 hours moisture. I still need to test it during the upcoming harsh winter when no level of moisture is enough. Likes Uses collidal oatmeal & dimethicone to moisturize & protect skin for long hours. Lightweight yet moisturizing. Parabenes, phthalates , fragrance & steroids free. Suitable for sensitive skin.
