Since everyone is so raving about these budget-friendly small little crayon lipsticks, I too hunted them down. I found the colors a little repetitive, hence I did not buy them all and rather bought few bold shades. Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon is the newest range from Lakme, which made us, the bloggers, go smitten over these literally-crayon-looking lipsticks under 200 bucks. Click here Today I am going to review & swatch Candid Coral from Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon range for you. I could have swatched & reviewed them all in one post, but I am a bit short on time & I won’t be able to enjoy it while doing it. Hence I chose the best shade (according to me) from the range. Coral Candid is one of the best coral lipstick for Indian skin tone which I have come across. It has many hues to it, hence it will delight you at many levels. I shall talk about this feature of the shade in detail later. Let’s start with the basics. About Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon Lakme presents a range of crayon lipsticks to give you a smooth & matte finish over your lips in vibrant colors. The Lip Crayons are enriched with mineral powders, Olive Oil & Jojoba Oil to moisturize your lips simultaneously. The lip crayons come in 10 vibrant shades so that you can dazzle at every occasion. Price Rs. 185 for 2.2g. Buy at Amazon. Ingredients No ingredient list is provided. Packaging The lip crayon literally looks like a colored crayon that we used to use in our school time. I have used a lot of crayon lipsticks from different brands, but Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon literally depicts being a crayon in packaging. Lipstick range i.e.” Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon” and shade name “03 Candid Coral” is printed on the lip crayon along with some manufacturing information. The crayon has a black cap over its mouth. The packaging is kind of flimsy, according to me. Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon Shades Lakme has followed the bold lip trend of the year 2017, hence presented 10 bold shades in the range. So pick one or all of them to suit your mood every single day. Baby Pink, Berry Red, Blushing Pink, Coral Candid, Cinnamon Brown, Mauve Magic, Peach Magnet, Pink Burst, Red Stop, Shocking Pink. Reviewed & Swatched: 7 Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon Shades Shade Description – Coral Candid This is my most favorite from the Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon range. As I mentioned earlier, the shade has many hues. That is the reason despite being coral it will suit every skin tone. The shade has Peach undertones & outburst of Orange, which makes it really exotic. One swipe brings a beautiful peachy coral shade on lips while 2 more swipes give a full-throttle orange. The peach undertones help the orange color to keep it’s calm & do not let it wash out your complexion which might happen with pure Orange shades. Fragrance & Texture The crayon lipstick has a very mild sweet scent, noticeable only if you want to smell it. There is no weird taste. Like SUGAR Lip Crayons has a powdery taste to them. The texture of the lip crayons is impressively creamy. The packaging is flimsy but the product inside is a high-quality lipstick. A bullet is full of color & moisture. I do not need to wear a lip balm beneath this matte lipstick since it is really good in moisturizing my lips on its own. Pigmentation The pigmentation of the lip crayon is good. The first swipe gives opaque finish even to pigmented lips but 2 swipes ensure the true color to show on the lips. When the lipstick is creamy, you anyway can go overboard to soak in some moisture into your lips. Finish Even though the texture is creamy & there is a bit of a shine on to the lips if you look closely, but the overall finish is complete matte. Not the uncomfortable kind of matte, but a beautiful, nourished matte. Longevity Creamy textures do have a tendency to transfer. Even SUGAR Lip Crayons which perform very good in terms of longevity does transfer in the first hour of application. Lakme Enrich Lip Crayons would transfer to the coffee cup if you sip some coffee while wearing it. This lip crayon does not have the ability to survive meals in between, little bit snacking can be done. You need to retouch after having a full-fledged meal which is not of a big con to me as 185 bucks are justified with the quality of the product. Likes Beautiful & bold shades in the range. Creamy & moisturizing formula. Olive Oil & Jojoba Oil, present in the crayon, moisturize your lips. Does not accentuate fine lines. Beautiful matte finish. The shade Candid Coral is suitable for all skin tones. After sharpening, it can be used as a lip liner too. Ships with a dual sharpener. Easily available. Very affordable. So small to fit in the palm of your hand. Dislikes Need to sharpen the lip crayon after 2-3 uses. Few colors are repetitive. Summary If you do not mind retouch after having a meal, it is one of the best affordable lip color range from Lakme. The shades are bold & will flatter Indian skin tones (specially curated for Us 🙂 by Lakme). College going girls if you are bored of Elle 18, try these affordable & better performing lip crayons. The longest I have worn it for 3+ hours without retouch or having a meal. This brand has always provided standard quality products within my small pocket money. Over the years, I have used a lot of their makeup products. Their nail paints, lipsticks, lip balms and eyeliners are my favorites. Last year, when I saw their commercial of the new Matte Lipstick range, I could not control myself from visiting their counter on my next visit to the local beauty store. As I was searching for a mute pink shade, this Mauve Date shade caught my eye and without losing much time I bought it. Today I am going to present my view of the Elle 18 Color Pops Matte Lipstick Mauve Date. Read on. About Elle 18 Color Pops Matte Lipstick Mauve Date Your new, essential lip color is here. Price Rs.100 for 4.3gm Ingredients Not mentioned Packaging Elle 18 Color Pops Matte Lipstick Mauve Date comes in a black twist-up bullet. The lid that covers the bullet is also black in color. On the lid, you will be able to find the product name, some useful information regarding the product and a cute imprint of a girl’s face who is wearing a hot pink lip tint. The shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick bullet where the shelf life and some other important manufacturing details are also written. When this new range first came into the market, the heads of lipstick bullets were rounded (as you see in my lippy). After a short while, they started manufacturing flat headed bullets. Overall the packaging is quite sturdy and travel-friendly. Texture & Smell The texture of this lipstick is semi-matte and very smooth. It does not require any tugging or pulling while applying. It is not over moisturising of course, but it does not dry my lips out too. Fragrance wise it is different from normal Color Pops lipsticks from the same brand. It has a warm vanilla kind of smell with a hint of floral. It suits my taste. Pigmentation Elle 18 has done a great job in the pigmentation department I must say. The pigment is pretty intense when it comes to this lipstick. The actual bullet colour shows on my medium pigmented lips in one swipe itself. For even dark lipped beauties 2-3 swipes would be enough. Shade- Mauve Date Elle 18 Color Pops Matte Lipstick Mauve Date is actually a pink mauve shade. The shade has such warmth to it that it would suit every undertone of Indian skin be it warm, neutral or cool. It would look pinkish on fair skin tones. It will give tea rose kind of shade on the dusky skin. I use it for my day time as well as evening looks to achieve an understated look. As the shade name suggests, it will be great shades for your ‘Date’ looks. Finish The finish it provides is not fully matte. Semi-matte would be the best word to describe its finish. I actually like the finish because I have a control over the finish this way. When I wish to have semi-matte lips I just apply it and forget. On the other times, I turn the finish into full matte by blotting my lips with a tissue after application. Longevity For the price, the staying power is not bad either. It stays intact for 3-4 hours straight. Then it starts to fade evenly. After 6-7 hours I can still notice a muted pink tint. The only con here is that it transfers a lot if I do not do lip-blotting. Likes Nice warm and muted pink shade. Pigmentation is awesome. Semi-matte finish. Pocket friendly. Does not dry out lips Dislikes Ingredient list is absent. The shade transfers if not blotted. Summary: 4.75/5 If you are searching for a warm-toned muted pink semi-matte lipstick, then this one will be a nice budget choice. Beginners or people, who are not into the matte lippy world for long, would find this a good reference shade to go for the high-end lip shades.
