Hi Girls, Do you feel a thrill when you find a dupe of a famous and costly makeup product? I know you do. Well, I was pretty thrilled upon finding a dupe of The Balm Voyage which costs about $22. ADS Balm Voyage which is an eye plus lip palette. It consists 16 eye shadows and 3 lip colors on the other hand costs only INR 249. The eye shadow shades are exactly like The Balm palette. So now you can experience the balm eye makeup looks within 249 bucks. Even the packaging is same. There are various other versions of the palette too. But I chose this one as it consists of lots of beautiful shades. I have never bought any eye palette from The Balm. I am not sure what kind of performance is to be expected from this high end brand. But after creating multiple eye looks with ADS The Balm Voyage Eye Palette, I think it’s no lesser than any high end brand. Let me share my experience with the product. ADS Balm Voyage With 16 Eye Shadow & 3 Lip Colors Ingredients Price & Availability This is a highly affordable dupe of The Balm Voyage. It is available only at INR 249 consisting of 16 eye shadow colors and 3 lip colors. You can buy it online as well as offline at makeup stores. Find it over Amazon here. There are various variants available in the series costing as low as INR 175. ADS Balm Voyage Shades The palette has beautiful shades. The shades are similar to that of the original palette. The shades have been marked alphanumerically. Also the eye shadows has been placed nicely and in a clean way copying the balm palette. Let’s have a look over the shades: A1 : This is a shimmery light peach brown shade. It is nice wear for day to night looks. B1 : This is a cream colored matte shade. It can be used to create base for eye shadow. Also it can brighten up inner corners of eyes. C1: This is an off white shade but is matte in texture. D1: A beautiful mango shade. I have worn it many times. It looks beautiful. A2: This is a shimmery purple shade. Very wearable for night outs. B2: A beautiful and another favorite of mine, mint shade. It too has got bit of shimmer. C2: This is a dark green shade. It is matte. D2: A very gorgeous rose gold shade which is obviously shimmery. A3: An absolute white shimmery shade. Looks beautiful on eyes. Can also be used as highlighter. B3: A pure matte grey shade. C3: This is matte brown shade. It goes nude on eyes. Can be used as an eye shadow base before using other shades. D3: An authentic golden shade. Very gorgeous shade. A4: Black Shimmery shade. For those ultra smokey eyes, this shade goes perfectly on my eyes. B4: This is a dark brown shimmery shade. This shade also looks very beautiful in smokey eye looks. C4: The entire upper line contains shimmery dark shades apt for smokey eye looks. D4: This is another dark shimmery shade – an Olive shade. Lip Shades: All the shades of the lip palette are creamy and have bit of sheen. The shades are bit similar to each other. First Officer: A dark pink shade. Second Officer: A brownish- peach shade. It is the n*de buddy of the team. Captain: The red shade of the palette. My Experience With ADS The Balm Voyage Eye Palette The eye shadows of the palette are fine textured. They are easy to take on an eye shadow brush tip and easy to be applied. They blend easily without any major fallout. Every eye shadow is pigmented nicely. The light shades might require 2-3 swipes while the dark shades give nice color even with single swipe. The longevity of the eye shadows is very impressive. I have worn the dark shade for entire days while the light shades too stays for about 5-6 hours. The palette has not been compromised in terms of quality. The lip shades are average in terms of longevity though, They stay on lips for an average of 2 hours. I really like using this palette as it is versatile and it can be used to achieve day-night as well as casual & festive eye looks. The palette is quite big but would fit in your travel bag for sure. It is a must have for me. I can use it to create simple as well as dramatic eye looks. ADS The Balm Voyage Eye & Lip Palette. The eye shadows are beautiful and blend easily giving perfect eye look. I don’t know why but ADS Instant Dry Liquid Eyeliner Pencil has such a misleading name. It’s nothing sort of pencil, it’s an eyeliner pen, like a gel pen. Maybe just to give it a different name, ADS is calling a pencil. Alright, no problem, as long as it is doing it’s job of providing precision lines and waterproof performance, I don’t have any issues with it’s name whatsoever. You get jet black colour with each swipe across your lids. You can build up the intensity and the width of the liner with more swipes. Finish It gives semi matte finish. Staying Power Since it’s water proof. It stays until you take it off. I have never worn it for 24 hours in a stretch , I think no one has to. You must take off all your makeup by the end of the day. But yeah, it stays all day long on your eyes. It does not smudge. It stays put without retouch ups. Likes Super pointy soft tip which gives you control over the liner width. No tugging required, the liner goes smoothly on your eye lids. Pen packaging, is very convenient packaging for an eye liner. Super cheap. Impressive pigmentation. Stays very long with out smudge. Water proof. Quick dry formula. Dislikes Misleading name. Summary : 4.5 It’s a jet black, cheap and waterproof eye liner , that too in very convenient packaging. Cheap Thrills – The Localites

Sometimes, I go to a departmental store just to fetch some chocolates/ cookies and come back with makeup. There are so many local brands, which we don’t consider buying because they look flimsy or are suspected to be of no value. I mostly come across many local brands like Color 18, Ellewin , Kiss Beauty, ADS , 7 heavens etc. I have tried few chubby lipsticks from Ellewin and they turned out really well. Blue Heaven is another brand which has emerged into a reliable brand now. ADS also has grabbed local markets by quite a percentage. I actually got interested into these dirt cheap products since, the store lady was swatching them on some customer. I actually admired the intensity of the eyeliner & (copied) packaging of the lip gloss. ADS Liquid Eyeliner in Black Its Jet Black with glossy finish. I really liked its finish when it was swatched on some one’s hand by the store lady. I even handed my hand to her and asked for a swatch. I bought it, and the pigment was so intense that it was there on my hand until I vigorously rubbed it with makeup remover. It might replace my when-in-hurry eyeliner Incolor Dynamic Eye Liner. Got it for 100 bucks. This liner has been reviewed here. Kiss Beauty Lip Gloss It is a look alike of L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lip Glosses. I mean at first sight, I really thought it was from L’Oreal until I took a close look at it’s neck. There were just so many shades, dupe for almost every shade no of L’Oreal’ lip glosses. The intensity of the color is quite nice, but is highly drying when put on lips. Got it only for 100 bucks. Blue Heaven Eye Brow Pencil Its just for 10 bucks. I used to use Lakme’s eye brow pencil when I first got my hands on makeup. This pencil reminds me of those careless days. I am not brand conscious. I buy what appeals to my eyes or ears.
