Hi Girls,
This is the very first installment of the beauty bloggers collab – a collaboration of beauty & makeup bloggers & youtubers. We are starting this series where we would be presenting our thoughts on a topic. The topic we would try to keep centered around your interests, questions, queries, knowledge & entertainment. How cool is that? So let’s get started with the very first post in the same direction- Summer Favorite Lipsticks.
The topic of the very first beauty bloggers collab is Summer Favorite Lipsticks. Let’s start the collab in colors. Every one in the group will be presenting their 2 favorite lipsticks that they like to wear during summer. Hope you enjoy it.
Sangeeta From beauty Nyx
Summer is a time to frolic in the sun. It is also a time to play with colours that even someone like me who likes monotones finds it hard not to reach for that bright lipstick in my collection. Here are my current favourite summer lippies I reach for almost everyday!
Burt’s Bees Lily Lake
The first lipstick a pinkish purple lipstick from Burt’s Bees in the shade Lily Lake. This isn’t the most pigmented lipstick but it adds a nice colour to your face and is super nourishing at the same time. It also looks beautiful sheered out for that no-lipstick look.
Maybelline Iced Coral
You can’t spell summer with coral. The next lipstick is from a drugstore favorite – Maybelline. Iced Coral is a lightly shimmery coral shade that looks perfect for summers. This lipstick does have one issue – it melts easily in summers and it melts bad. It can also be a hassle to get a smoother application. So just ensure you use your fingers to smudge it to get a smoother finish. Nevertheless a beautiful shade to own.
Nisha From High ON Gloss
There are two lipsticks that really deserve to be here today. Both the lipsticks are from SUGAR only which are no doubt my favorite & I have been wearing them almost everyday.
SUGAR Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick – Rethink Pink 07
It is a very beautiful, bright & bold pink shade, which instantly brightens my complexion. It is a long wearing matte liquid lipstick, hence I am not worried about it smudging while I am out , talking or eating. Talking about it’s longevity, It literally stays put on my lips, for nice 5-6 hours. A bit of touch up, will keep it intact for another 5-6 hours.
SUGAR Matte As Hell Holly Golightly Crayon Lipstick
Holly Golightly is a N*de shade which can go with any makeup look any hour of a day. I find myself reaching for it, while I am at home, or I want a subtle look. It is moisturizing & long wearing matte lipstick. It does not flake or go weird with touch ups. I love it to the core.
Krupa from IShtyleAWhile
I have been using a lot of pinks this summer and these are the 2 lipsticks that I reach out for the most.
Kylie Matte Liquid Lipstick in Posie K.
I have been obsessed with matte liquid lipsticks ever since I tried my first one from Colourpop. I finally succumbed and bought the Kylie Lip kit and have been using it ever since. The colour is perfect for everyday and the formula is so light you barely feel it on your lips. Also the colour stays on for a good part of the day.
Maybelline REB 02 lipstick.
This is an oldie but goodie and I seem to reach for this every time I want a slight pop of colour on my lips. It looks bright in the bullet but is definitely more wearable as you see in the swatch. This is my recommendation if you are on a budget.

Sephora Colorful Gloss Balm in Warrior Princess
I kind of purchased this one just to meet the free shipping requirement, but I love it and can’t wait to purchase some more shades. When I slide on this glossy pink, I instantly feel finished. This lip color is perfect for the days you feel less than stellar, and the peppy pink just screams summer, doesn’t it?
Aside from looking pretty the moment you apply it, this lipgloss stays put for HOURS. The first time I wore it, I ate a snack and drank water while wearing it. It stayed put for more than 6 hours, and the punchy pink color stained my lips. Even if the gloss wears off, your lips will still have a nice, pink tint! It’s perfect for staying polished on beach days. (Planning on spending lots of time outdoors? Be sure not to forget to add sun protection underneath the gloss.)
LipSense in Bombshell
I love a nude lip. And since summer is on its way in, I knew that I definitely wanted to try a nude shade. Plus, since I had never tried LipSense before (and because I generally do not wear long-lasting lip colors), I thought that I would have an easier time applying a neutral shade.
I settled on the color of Bombshell. Who doesn’t want a color called Bombshell anyway?! The set came with the color, the gloss, and even a mistake remover! You only have to apply the color once during the entire day, revisiting your lips only to refresh the clear glossy layer, which is an ideal routine for days in the sun. Lipsense is so low maintenance and totally smudge-proof! Just don’t forget your sun protection, as Lipsense does not contain SPF.
I am obsessed with this color and will absolutely purchase it when this set runs out. This shade puts the perfect exclamation point on my makeup look and skin tone. I just love it!!!
Radha from Tryst With Vanilla Girl
Sugar Matte as Hell Lipstick Crayon Marry Poppins and Colorbar Deep Matte Lip Creme Deep Blush tops my list of favorite summer lipsticks. I love to wear bright pinks, vivid corals and bold tangerines in this part of the year.
Sugar Matte As Hell Lip Crayon Mary Poppins
It comes in sharpenable crayon packaging is lovely orchid pink that will compliment all skin complexions. It is smudge proof and imparts opacity in single swipe on my slightly pigmented lips.
Colorbar Deep Blush Lip Creme
It is housed in transparent glass tube with sponge applicator that will look good on fair to medium skin complexions. Both the lipsticks give creamy matte finish on lips but the formulas are not drying on lips considering the matte finish. Colorbar Lip Cream which is rather slightly moisturizing on lips. Now since they are creamy mattes , they transfer and lasts for 5-6 hours. Colorbar Matte Lip Cream gives opacity in 2-3 swipes and takes time to set in relatively smudge proof finish.
Both these lipsticks are my top summer picks for their vivid shades, non drying velvety matte finish and moderately good pigmentation.

I’m so thrilled to be invited to be a part of this fabulous group of Bloggers and share my 2 favourite summer lip products with you today.
Too Faced Peach Sweet Peach Creamy Peach Oil Lip Gloss Pure Peach
This lip gloss is super hydrating but not sticky. I have the colour Pure Peach which is described as peachy pink. I don’t see the pink in it. It’s quite a bright peach, almost neon but on the lips, it sheers out and just gives a youthful brightening effect. I just can’t get enough of it. Plus, I feel good about using it as it has nourishing peach and coconut oils. This gloss comes in 8 shades, so there’s something for everyone. I received this from Sephora as a 100 point perk and I am sold! I need to get this in the full size once I’m finished this tube.
Sonia Kashuk Satin Luxe Lip Color SPF 16 in Nude Pink
This lipstick is the perfect shade for me and it goes with any look! Nude Pink is described as a muted pink shade. It’s non-drying and I find that it lasts for hours, requiring fewer touch-ups throughout the day. It’s paraben and fragrance free and contains fatty acids that preserve skin’s elasticity. It also contains Ceramide 2 and Palmitoyl Peptide to reduce the appearance of wrinkle- I can get all the anti-aging I can get! Plus, it has SPF 16, perfect for protecting our lips from UV rays in the summer. Available in 13 gorgeous colours!
I know it was a long post, but I sure you have enjoyed the post like a cool breeze on a summer night. Wasn’t it marvelous? You can pour in your idea for us, if you want.
