Summary: Review and Swatches of SUGAR Contour De Blush Mini Blush 01 Peach Peak, 02 Pink Pinnacle.
Honestly, blush would be the last thing that I would put on my face (no pun intended), while getting a full makeup face. Blushes are kind of out of the picture since strobing and bronzing are the strongest players these days. I know Blush would return with full power soon. But till then we can flaunt some sun kissed and moon lit faces. Anyway, I got another blush from SUGAR, while I was restocking some SUGAR essentials like Matte As Hell Scarlett O’Hara, Matte As Hell Holly Golightly, Sugar Tic Tac Toe Pro Cherry Christmas etc.
I have already reviewed SUGAR Contour De Blush Mini Blush 01 Peach Peak, and in this article I would be comparing the two shades so that it is easy for you to spot the right blush for you. Sounds fun? Cool, then. Let’s go ahead.
SUGAR Contour De Blush Mini Blush
SUGAR Contour De Blush Mini Blush are actually a mini version of blushes from SUGAR face palettes. These mini blush can accompany you every where you go so that you can flaunt that blushed look any where any time. These blushes are highly pigmented to give your cheeks a soft look. Pick Peach Peak or Pink Pinnacle, depending upon your mood.
SUGAR Contour De Blush Mini Blush – Shades
SUGAR is quite restrictive on the shades of blushes. Both the blushes are pink based. Even though the shades are suitable for all the Indian tones, it would be a nice move to release specific shades for ducky skin tones as well.
01 Peach Pinnacle : This is a very subtle peach shade with bit of illuminating particles. So it kind of goes sheer on skin. The shade is quite wearable for Indian skin tones.
02 Pink Pinnacle : This is a hard on Pink blush. This blush is for those occasions when you really want to show off the apples of your cheeks. It is warm shade hence is wearable for Indian kin tones. It looks more pigmented as it sans any kind of illuminating particles.
Price & Availability
These mini blushes are available at INR 299 only for 4 gms. You can buy them from Amazon, SUGAR and Nykaa.
Ingredients
Packaging
As SUGAR Contour De Force Blush comes packed inside a black case with a big S cutout on it. You need to slide your finger inside the case to pull out the card box which finally holds the mini blush. The card box is purple colored with a girl printed on it. Honestly the girl resembles Shilpa Shinde. Well she does to me. There is no mirror attached to the blush which is kind of a miss. I find the packaging is quirky from outside and bit basic from inside.
The shade name and number are mentioned on the outer packaging as well as on the main packaging of the blush. And that’s how you can identify the shades.
Fragrance & Texture
The blushes do not have any fragrance at all, which is a plus point for me. The blushes are fine powders. They are pressed firmly in the packaging. A pressed product is more prone to falling out than a baked product. That’s why baked blushes /highlighters /bronzers cost more than their basic counter parts. Since the texture of the blushes is smooth, they easily spread on face.
Finishing & Longevity
Peach Peak is light on skin hence gives a sheer hint while Pink Pinnacle goes a nice pink tint on cheeks. The finishing of both shades is matte, they just vary in the pigmentation and color payoff. The blush gives a wear of 3-4 hours on my oily cheeks. On dry – normal skin types, they may stay longer.
Do I Recommend SUGAR Contour De Blush Mini Blush 01 Peach Peak, 02 Pink Pinnacle?
Yes, for two reasons:
- If you really need to use a blush, SUGAR mini blushes make nice choice.
- Even though the shade range is restricted, the blushes are quite apt for most of the Indian skin tones.
Pink Pinnacle is my second blush from SUGAR. The blushes are affordable and give the right amount of tint to cheeks. They should release more shades touching the dusky skin tones. Even though blushes are not that much in demand right now, but it’s never a bad idea to hoard one or two, just in case. SUGAR offers quality with reasonable pricing, so why not. Above all, I can never bypass a cute packaging.
Do you like to use blush? Are they returning to mainstream makeup? Any guesses? Leave your comments below.
