Hope every body is happy & healthy. Monsoon is a happy season after all. But you know what else does monsoon bring for you? Germs & diseases. So it is very important to stay protected, specially the children are very prone to stomach aches during this season. Most of the diseases that we catch during this season are caused by contaminated food & water as well as due to poor hygiene. It’s important to eat healthy as well as eat with clean hands. But I understand you cannot always have access to water & a nice anti bacterial hand wash. Himalaya Herbals PureHands Hand Sanitizer comes handy no matter wherever you are.

Price
Rs. 60 for 50ml. Buy here.
Packaging
The 50ml hand sanitizer comes in a transparent bottle with a green flip top cap fitted at the top. There are labels at the front as well as at the back of the sanitizer that illustrate the feature, directions of use as well as ingredients and other useful information. I found the packaging to be sturdy & leak proof.
A 50ml size is the most convenient size for a hand sanitizer according to me. It is easy to carry this size in your handbag/suitcase & use whenever required. Though for home/office we can use the largest size available which has a pump to squirt the required amount of sanitizer.
How To Use
You only require a small amount of the hand sanitizer to ensure proper cleansing of hands. Take out a coin sized amount and rub it in between your hands, at the back of your hands, don’t forget the fingernails and in between the fingers. Eventually you will notice the gel is all gone leaving your hands clean, smelling fresh & moisturized.
My Experience With Himalaya PureHands Hand Sanitizer
I became an avid user of hand sanitizer after delivering my son. I got very habitual of using a hand sanitizer before touching him. I used to keep a pumped bottle of hand sanitizer nearby him, so I could request others to use it before touching the baby. I think using a hand sanitizer is the least effort we can put while handling a baby to keep him safe form germs.
Not only babies, we adults too can catch seasonal health issues hence it is important to keep your hands clean. During travel, I always carry a hand sanitizer in my handbag. When I received 5 variants of PureHands hand sanitizers from Himalaya, I was really happy, because a hand sanitizer is like a daily use item for me. I am glad that Himalaya came out with flavored hand sanitizers and we do not have to smell the weird and common alcoholic smell while cleaning our hands.
Formula & Texture
I have used a lot of hand sanitizes from various brand like Dettol, Lifebouy, Kaya, Godrej and few more. I think it is important that a hand sanitizer quickly vanishes into hands so that we can carry on with out eating or whatever we plan to do. Himalaya PureHands really has a great self-drying formula which quickly evaporates leaving hands clean & smelling fresh. I do not need to rub it excessively or wait for it to dry. Also My hands does not feel dry or smell like alcohol irritating my sensitive nose.

Himalaya PureHands Hand Sanitizer Variants
Talking about the flavors, even the Original variant form PureHand hand sanitizer range does not have that weird alcoholic smell. Rather it smells very fresh, sweet & flowery. I was amazed to find it smell that way since I was expecting a pungent alcoholic smell out of it. It is clear transparent gel, with mild pleasant smell.
Green Apple – It has the sweet smell of freshly plucked green apples. The quick dry gel is light green colored to resemble green apples.
Orange – Orange is generally the most favorite fruit of all and the most energetic citrus-y smell of oranges is packed in this variant of Himalaya PureHands hand santitizer. The color of the gel is also orange-ish for the obvious reasons. Feels like I have dipped my hands in orange juice after using this sanitizer. It smells so good.
Strawberry – I like to have strawberries as a fruit, but not really fond of strawberry fragrances. This sanitizer, which is dark orange in color, strongly resembles strawberries in it’s fragrance. It’s very sweet, way too sweet for my sensitive nose. I don’t even like strawberry flavored ice creams for that matter.
Litchi – Lychees may not look that appealing as strawberries do, but I love it’s taste as well as it’s smell. So apparently this is my most favorite variant from Himlaya PureHands hand sanitizer range. It is mauve pink/baby pink in color and smells heavenly of Litchi.
The smell of the hand sanitizer stays for few mintues but the moisture stays for a nice amount of time. So if you have a habit of using a hand sanitizer throughout the day, your hands won’t dry out. They would rather stay healthy, soft & plumped with moisture.
Concluding the review, Himalaya presents a nice alternate to Pungently odorous hand sanitizers in the form of PureHands range which includes 5 amazingly smelling, effective in cleaning & moisturizing hands at a very affordable price and easy to use & carry packaging. The ingredient list is also impressive using most of the natural herbs. The range is widely available at the leading pharmacies, general & online stores. Specially the monsoon season calls for some extra care & protection which Himalaya PureHands Hand Sanitizer ensures.
Hope you liked the review and getting ready to own your favorite flavor from the range. Let me know what’s your favorite flavor from the above.
Stay Healthy, Stay Safe.
