Nykaa Country Rose Shower Gel : Review

Do you like to use body wash or shower gel? Yes, there is a difference between the two. A body wash is generally a gel based lightweight wash while a body wash is bit thick, creamy and more moisturizing. A shower gel is great option for summers while winters need a nice body wash to keep your skin hydrated and glowing. I definitely switch between the two depending upon the weather and my skin needs. Nykaa Country Rose Shower Gel is my very recent purchase as my birthday haul.

I am a die hard fan of Rose fragrances be it my All Good Scents Rose Perfume, Marks & Spencer Floral Collection AntiPerspirant Deodorant in Rose or any other skin care product. I have been eyeing Country Rose from Nykaa since it’s launch but I had too many body/shower gel in my cabinet to finish first. Then came my birthday month and my splurge mode got activated. I am yet to share the haul with you guys but I am sure you are too going to admire it.

Who does not like to smell like roses all day long? Even though all days are not same but one can smell like roses everyday. This country rose shower gel from Nykaa contains authentic fragrance which lifts up your spirit. Keep on your A-Game.

Packaging

The shower gel is packed in a transparent fat plastic bottle with a flip top cap on it’s mouth for fuss free flow. The packaging is very simple yet good. There is an image of cute girl printed over the bottle with red roses at her background. There is a pink label at the back of the bottle which gives all the information about the product.  The bottle is 300 ml hence it is not travel friendly.

Texture & Fragrance

Fragrance of a shower gel is the basic reason we buy one. And when it’s roses, I can’t say no. But excuse me Lux, I am not talking about that artificial overpowering smell that you make Bollywood celebrities to pretend that they use it. Rather I always look for an authentic fragrance. Nykaa Shower Gel is a mild fragrance. It does not fill nostrils as you open the flap. Rather it slowly builds an aromatic ambiance in my shower room. The fragrance is beautiful but sadly it does not stay for long after I am done with shower. To make it last longer, I must use Nykaa Country Rose Body Mist or Lotion.

This is a gel based shower gel In the bottle it looks more of peach but on the loofah it is almost transparent and runny. It lathers very well and let you enjoy a nice shower.

Coming to the moisturization part of this shower gel, I didn’t expect much and it does not deliver much. It’s a gel based shower gel and not a cream based body wash hence it’s apt for summers/monsoons while for winters you should find a nice creamy wash for yourself. But it does not dry out skin and that’s a good thing.

How To Use Nykaa Country Rose Shower Gel?

• Wet your loofah and pour some Nykaa Country Rose Shower Gel on it.
• Add few more drops of water to the loofah and make lather.
• Rub the loofah on your skin and enjoy the shower gel.
• Rinse when done.

What I Like About Nykaa Country Rose Shower Gel?

• Authentic Rose fragrance.
• Lathers well.
• Fuss free packaging
• Affordable & economical.
• Leaves skin smelling nice.
• Nykaa does not test on animals.

What could be better?

• The rose fragrance does not last longer on to the skin. You must use other products from the range like the body mist & lotion.

If you are not looking for a moisturizing body wash but only the bathing experience matter to you, then you should definitely grab this bottle for yourself. It has very nice fragrance of roses without an artificial touch. The smell is not overpowering but is very mild. The price asked & the quantity provided are also justified.
