New Makeup Trend – Paper Makeup

Happy Independence Day & Happy Janmashtmi. It’s such an auspicious day, that we are enjoying two great festivals of India. All the enjoyment literally doubled up.

Moving on, I am sure you must have heard about blotting paper/sheet. But now you have Makeup Paper too. What’s that, A makeup paper? Yes, Makeup over Paper, precisely. I too was literally blown away by this newest & innovative trend of makeup that recently started in the west. So you don’t have to carry all the little pots of your foundation, highlighter or bronzer with you. Just pick a makeup paper booklet, tear a sheet out of it and swipe it across your face. Magic? Yeah literally.

When I get to hear something so unusual and different, I really dig it. I literally went to every website which was providing any information about paper makeup or makeup paper. The great deal about paper makeup is the fact that, you do not need to learn anything new. You know your shade, you know your blending technique and you are sorted.

Mai Couture brings this innovative way to makeup. Blotting paper is already in our handbags, what if the same paper can refresh our makeup too. This is the idea on which Mai Couture worked and presented Highlighter paper, Bronzer paper, even Foundation paper. So basically it’s a booklet containing few papers inside but the papers are not ordinary and they are infused with color pigments. You can get paper makeup for your base, cheeks, lips, and everything you anyway use makeup for.

The best thing about this makeup does not end here. It is parabene & talc free. Now you can give it standing ovation.

Mahnga Hoga? err…Price?

The brand is selling one such booklet of 50 papers around £12.5. Priecy… hmm? Plus shipping to India will definitely burn a hole in our pockets.

How To Use Paper Makeup Effectively?

The professionals suggests you to start with clean & perp-ed face. Let’s assume you want to test a blush paper on your face. The paper will have color on one side. Tear one paper from the booklet of blush paper. One paper will be enough to color your cheeks perfectly. Press the colored side of the paper against your skin gently on the apple of your cheeks and swipe towards your ears. Now turn for blending. Blend the color to achieve your desired look.

I am really excited to try out my hands on this new trend in makeup. It sounds so good while you are on move always. Being compact in size, it’s easy to use and carry. I hope my sister could fetch me few such booklets while she will be visiting India again.
How did you like the idea? Fascinating? Too much hyped? I hope Indian brands too come up with cheaper alternates.

Let me know your thoughts on this.

Much Love.
