Hey ya’ll, I am back with another review. Few days back, I went to Lifestyle City Center with my bestie. We were just checking out the Maybelline counter, when my eyes noticed a sales girl behind the Maybelline counter. She was wearing something-greenish-peacock shade on her eyes. I asked her, what was she wearing and she pointed towards a box of little bullets of liquid liner. It was the Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner range.
I asked her to swatch the particular shade on my hand. The shade was Lazer Green. It was too beautiful shade to miss. I bought it on the spot.
Maybelline Claims:
- 25 hour wear smudge proof formula
- Deep colour with a high shine finish
- Easy to apply
Price:
It retails at Rs. 275 for 3gms.
Availability:
Availability is never an issue for Maybelline products. This liner is also available offline as well as online.
Packaging:
Its a very tiny opaque tube with a long tailed screw-on liner brush on top. The liner brush is very thin to give you a precision line on lids. You can achieve almost any width line with this brush.
Consistency & Smell:
The liner is as runny just as a liquid liner should be. Its easy to take out the product out of the container and apply on the lids. The pigmentation of the liner is decent too. If you have very dark eye lids, would suggest to use a light eye shadow or concealer first to show off the color well. I am not fond of the smell though.
Shade I Got:
It’s called Lazer Green. Other shades offered are Violet Volt, Goldlation, Electroshock and Silver Trance.
My Views:
I think every one should grab these tiny bullets of color as they are easy on pocket & really pop your eyes. I am going to get some other shades too, maybe the blue & silver one.
The Lazer Green shade is a beautiful bright yet subtle mix of blue & green giving out perfect turquoise shade. It dries off quickly within few seconds into a glossy finish. The glossy finish gives a glamorous look.
I have worn this line for an entire day without any touch ups. It stayed put for like 5-6 hours. Then started losing out its gloss.
I have worn it little bit on my lower lid too, it didn’t irritate my sensitive eyes.
It is quite easy to take off with a makeup remover and cotton pad. I don’t have to rub my eyes vigour-sly to take it off. Eye makeup should be like this only, since eyes are quite sensitive and the skin around eyes is very fragile.
I really like the thin liner brush that comes with it. The brush is so thin that I can just line my eye lid giving a subtle hint of color, or I can multi layer the liner and achieve a fully lined look.
The Colorbar Mascara, looked so fabulous when applied in combination with this particular shade of the hyper glossy liner.
Likes:
- All the shades are beautiful.
- The glossy finish is superb.
- Pigmentation is awesome.
- Decent applicator.
- Staying power is good.
- Texture is good.
- Easy on pocket.
- Does not irritate sensitive eyes.
Dislikes:
- I don’t like the smell.
- I think 3 grams won’t last long.
Rating: 4.5/5
Final Words:
I don’t think this range of liners should be missed. You can create a lot of fun looks with these tiny bullets while staying under budget.
Will be back soon with another amazing product.
