Hi. Everybody healthy, wealthy & wise? Today I am going to present another product from my recent ramblings. I like wearing compact powders since my skin is literally an oil well. It gets oily within an hour of washing my face. I like matte finish. I can’t wear heavy layers of foundations or creams. I just wear a sunscreen & a compact on top of it.
I have used many compacts from Lakme, Maybelline & L’Oreal in the past. If you remember I recently got an amazing eye liner from Maybelline. With the eyeliner, I also got a compact, Maybelline ClearGlow All In One Fairness Compact Powder, such a big title (uff..). Let’s talk about this compact powder in detail now.
Claims
- Longer Lasting Shine Control– Blend of water & sebum repellent powder keeps skin shine free throughout the wear all day.
- Higher UV Protection– SPF 32 PA+++, protects against UV rays responsible for skin darkening.
- Longer Wear– Breathable & lightweight, makeup stays true and even throughout the wear.
- Instant Brightening– Visibly makes skin brighter and more natural.
- Smoothes– Glides on skin with a silky soft texture that evens out surface for a visibly smooth complexion.
- Evens– Each shade blends evenly for a natural non cakey and tone perfecting finish.
How To Use
Apply evenly with sponge all over face and neck, Suitable for everyday use.
I use this after putting on my lightweight moisturizer. It mattifies skin further.

Shade I Got
Nude Beige- It is a light shade with yellow undertones. Close match to my wheatish skin tone.
My Views
I have used the previous version of this compact and that version was a decent product. Maybelline launched an upgrade to the existing compact. Let’s talk about these up-gradations one by one.
If I wear this compact with out wearing a sunscreen underneath, this keeps me fresh for 4-5 hours. Sunscreens make me sweat. Even if I am wearing this compact on top of a sunscreen, it can’t control the sweating.
It contains SPF 32 with PA+++(protection from UV rays). It is very useful to those who don’t want to wear a sunscreen at all. But I always wear one, so it does not matter to me.
Since it has got a high level of SPF, it gives white cast which actually make you feel like it’s brightening up your face. This is a high downside if you are taking photographs while wearing it.
This compact evens out my complexion to a great extent. I wear it every day for that purpose. Also my skin looks smooth since the compacts are fine textured that fills up the open pores, giving out visibly smooth complexion.
I like the fact Maybelline has launched 5 shades so that you can find the closest match to your skin tone.

- Gives white cast due to the presence of high level of SPF. Hence does not photograph well.
Summary: 4.5/5
It is really an amazing compact which is actually all in one. Affordable, easy to carry & apply. A must have for college going girls.
Quick Tip:
If you must get photographed with a high SPF foundation/compact, you can tone down the white cast by using some yellow toned loose powder.
