JapaKusum Herbal Shampoo : Review

Guest Post By Sam Sheokand

Hello beautiful ladies, how are you all?

After a long time I have been writing for HOG. After Nisha reviewed Japakusum Scalp Lotion, I tried it too. It’s an awesome product & there was instant relief from hair fall that I was experiencing back then. Later I also bought Japakusum Herbal Shampoo, which contains Jaswand, Amla & Aloe Vera. I feel this makes a very wonderful composition for a shampoo. I have been using it for a month now. It is also titled as an Everyday Shampoo. Let’s talk about my experience with this shampoo today.

Ingredients

The product composition is what attreacted me towards this shampoo. It mainly contains Amla, Aloe Vera & Jaswand.

Amla – Indian Gooseberry is considered to be the best herb for hair hen it comes to hair health. Amla keeps them black, shiny & helps to grow them longer.

Aloe Vera – It has excellent moisturizing properties & provides the most needed moisture to hair. Heals hair dryness to great extant.

Jaswand – Hibiscus, as you may know it, is another boon for hair health. It helps to arrest hai fall and improves hair growth & re growth.

Packaging

I have found this product comes in two types of packing. When I first got it, it was transparent plastic bottle with a flip top cap at the top. Few days back I bought it again, but this time, I got this shampoo in an opaque white bottle with a flip top cap. I do not have any particular liking to one or the other, but with the transparent bottle in hand, you can tell how much product is left with you.

Color, Texture & Smell

It is an off white colored shampoo with runny consistency. The texture is smooth, lathers well when mixed with water. It smells nice too. It mostly smells mostly of Aloe Vera. Sometimes, it also gives faint citrus-y smell.

My Hair Type

I have chemically treated dry & damaged, fine hair. They lack moisture.

My Experience with Japakusum Herbal Shampoo

I started using this product to reap more benefits of Japakusum scalp lotion. This shampoo is herbal and it states that it could be used every day because of the wonderful ingredients that it contains. I am glad I chose to use it.

My fine hair, can not take heavily loaded Argon oil/Moroccan oil shampoos or conditioner. If I use such products either I get flat hair or fluffy hair (because of the silicons most of the shampoos have). I needed something that would not coat my hair with unwanted silicons. Japakausum Shampoo is the one contains good things & no silicons.

My hair literally feels alive & happy with this shampoo. My hair are soft, shiny & happy. Even if I do not use a conditioner, my hair would still feel good & manageable. This shampoo is really mild. If I have oiled my hair, it takes 2 washes to get rid of the oil completely. But I think that it justified.

I got rebounding done on my hair 2-3 years back. Most of the rebounding effect has gone by now, just left at the ends. My new, natural hair seem to like this shampoo more, while the chemically treated hair are like numb, nothing can nourish them. I am thinking to get the chemically treated hair to chop off, so that I have uniform hair at waist.

Overall, it is a mild shampoo suitable for everyday usage. I am happy with the results, & I will continue using this shampoo as it is much better than the expensive range of shampoos from big brands. I really recommend this shampoo if you are looking for a herbal & affordable shampoo. Sad that it contains parabenes.
