Being an oily skined girl, I like to use light oils so that they do not suffocate my skin or break it out. Organic or natural skin care oils are always a safe bet for my skin.

It’s been fair amount of time since I have been using this oil on my face & body. I am going to share my experience with this organic skin care oil.

The skin care oil from Indus Valley comes packaged inside a transparent light minty-green colored plastic bottle with a gold colored press to open cap at the top. The packaging is very convenient & travel friendly due to it’s compact size. All the information is provided on the bottle as well as on the outer carton that the bottle comes packed inside.
Fragrance & Texture
It is an organic product which is free of harmful chemicals. It has quite herbal smell due to the presence of highly potent essential oils like Lavender, Neroli, Pachouli, Geranium, Calendula etc. If I have to describe the smell, I would say it is soothing like Lavender with hints of Geranium essential oil.
This is an oil. But it is lightweight. If you have used Bio Oil, I would say, it has almost the same thickness & consistency. My body has dry skin. My hands & feet instantly soak it.
How To Use Skin Care Oil
This product has multiple usage. You can use it for skin nourishment, treatment & protection.
Skin Nourishment
It is a lightweight & sweet smelling skin care oil. It can be used to treat dry spots. It nourishes skin very well. If you have excessive dry skin, take few drops in the palm of your hand & apply on your face thoroughly. If you have normal to oily skin type, dab it on affected area. Once absorbed, it leaves skin nourished & glowy.
Fade Away Scars
This oil diminishes old & new scars. If you have oily skin, just dab it on the affected area and massage little bit to increase blood circulation. Old scars take more time to fade away as compared to new scars. Stay consistent with the application.
Treat Stretch Marks
To prevent & treat existing stretch marks, this oil is very helpful. Stretch marks does not appear only on pregnant ladies, but they can appear on anybody who is going through a drastic weight loss or growth period. Any one can try this. This oil should be massaged twice a day (for better results, scrub the area lightly before applying this oil).
Enhance Complexion

My Experience
I have oily & acne prone skin. I have been using this oil for more than 2 weeks now. I need a very small amount of this oil to dab on my skin after cleansing every morning. The lightweight consistency of this oil, makes it great moisturizer for oily skin. It gets absorbed as I lightly massage it into my skin. I can apply more if I feel too, and my skin never feel sticky afterwards. It stays hydrated all day long.
I also use it as a night cream. I take few drops of this oil on the palm of my hand, rub the palms together to warm it up & then apply it on my face. I give little massage to my face with this oil. It gets absorbed within few seconds of massage. I do not need to apply any other night cream or serum. Next morning my face looks plumped & hydrated with a subtle glow. Though I have got few zits here and there, but I won’t account them to this oil, it might be all because of the travelling I have been doing & the unhealthy snacking I have been doing during travel. Unhealthy food breaks my skin more easily than a skin care product. I can see a good change in my skin, in terms of clarity & appearance of pore & scars. Scars are diminishing, and does not bother me as much now. I am not able to use much face masks/ scrubs due to excessive travelling, still my skin looks glowy. I think it’s just this oil & Indus Valley Bio Organic Hibiscus Powder, that I have been using as my cleanser.
I also use it on my stretch marks that I got during my pregnancy 3 years back. It’s too early to say about it’s effects on my stretch marks, but I am hopeful. I also like to use this oil as my body lotion during night so that skin repairs itself with the help of all the organic ingredients that this oil has.
