Fix A Broken Eyeshadow : DIY

I have many broken eye shadow palettes, blushes & lipsticks. My toddler loves to pick color from my eye shadow palettes and fill into his colouring book. It’s just so fun to watch him do this. But I am left with broekn makeup kits. There are three things you can do with your broken powdered makeup. Keep it using the way it is. Throw it away. Try to fix it.

I mostly use the broken products as such if they are not in very bad condition. Today, I thought let’s try and fix something. I started with a broken eye shadow pot.

There are two ways, you can fix a broken eyeshadow/blush/powder:

  1. Using Rubbing Alcohol
  2. Without Using Rubbing Alcohol

I didn’t have rubbing alcohol at home, and I didn’t have time to run to the chemist to fetch one. I continued with out using one. Let me show you how it turned out. This is the first time I attempted this kind of DIY.

What You Need

  • Hand Sanitizer
  • A Wipe /  piece of Soft Fabric
  • A Toothpick
  • A Spoon
  • The Broken Product.

How To Fix A Broken Eye Shadow

  1. Sanitise your hands.
  2. Using any brush, try to clean the excess product stuck at the corners.
  3. Take a toothpick and try to break any big chunks of the product in powder form.
  4. Now cover the eye shadow with a (dry)wipe or piece of fabric available.
  5. Using the head of the spoon press the eye shadow powder with little pressure for few seconds.
  6. You are done. Clean the excess powder from the edges.

Your Eye Shadow Is Revived

I think you get an idea, how easy it is to fix a broken eye shadow or any powder makeup. You don’t need many tools or much time. It took me only 5 minutes approximately. This way you can give your makeup a new shape too. I am going to try that sometime.

You can fix any broken powdered makeup this way. Hope you will try it it, since it is super easy.

Leave your lovely comments. It brings smile on my face.
