Subscription boxes are fun. I love the surprise factor that they hold. Fab Bag, being a veteran, is one of the most sought after subscription for makeup and beauty products. After a gap of many months, I subscribed to Fab Bag in January 2019. And today I got my bag. Without holding much suspense, let’s get on with the unboxing and review of Fab Bag January 2019, which is themed as The Big Steal. Let’s see if the bag justifies its theme. Stay with me.
Fab Bag January 2019 – The Big Steal
Fab Bag is a monthly subscription box that gives out 3-6 beauty and makeup products every month. You get to try out samples of new launches from various brands. So you can decide if a product is worth using or not. You can take a monthly subscription or longer depending upon your convenience. As a bonus, most of the time, there are 1-3 full-sized products are also included in your package.
Fab Bag January 2019 – The Big Steal, contains 7 products, out of which 5 products are full-sized. The products are from various categories such as makeup, skincare, lip care, bathing experience, etc.
The Bag
The contents of Fab Bag come in a pouch which is as big as a clutch so you can carry your stuff to a party afterward. January 2019 Fab Bag is a beautiful metallic bag that is quite nice in size and quality. It looks really fab.

SUGAR Nothing Else Matter Longwear Lipstick – Rosy Picture 10
SUGAR Nothing Else Matter Longwear Lipstick is the newest launch from SUGAR. And the launch also led me to subscribe to Fab Bag, being honest. Fab Bag ships the latest launches every month and that’s like a treat. Even if the contents of the bag are not alluring, the SUGAR products at least justify the cost of the bag.
SUGAR Nothing Else Matter Longwear Lipstick – Rosy Picture 10, is a muted pink lipstick with earthy tones. It is a kind of earthy nude lipstick for wheatish to dusky skin tones. Anyway going to flatter fair/light skin tones. The texture of the lipstick is quite powdery and hence accentuates lines on my lips. I feel, SUGAR Never Say Dry Lipstick is better in terms of moisturizer. But I like the all-black rectangular packaging of SUGAR Nothing Else Matter Lipstick. I will be reviewing the lipstick pretty soon.
W2 Ivory Peach Moisturizer
This moisturizer claims to balance oil, light up dark spots, and give anti-aging effects. I am not sure if I will be able to try it out since I have quite sensitive skin and I don’t want to take chances. It also smells of Peaches which is obvious but a lot for my sensitive nose. I have applied this on my hands but I can smell the fragrance while I am writing this piece.
Texture-wise it is quite lightweight and gets instantly absorbed into the skin. I think it would make a nice hand cream too. In case I decide to use it as a moisturizer, I would review it too.
Biobloom Lip Balm – Mint
I have numerous products from Biobloom lying with me but I never feel like using them somehow. I just don’t get excited enough. Maybe because the very first experience I had with this brand was quite bland. I wish I had gotten some different flavor because mint is always drying on my lips. I think I would give away this lip balm to someone who likes using mint-based lip balm.
The Nature’s Co. Aquaspark Kelp Sea Bath Salt
I am a fan of using Bath Salts. They are quite relaxing while smelling nice. Sea bath salts are amazing as they are high in minerals and provides nourishment to the skin. I would love to try out this bath salt in summer as the smell is quite apt for that sweaty season.
HipHop Skin Care Instant Nail Polish Remover Wipes
HipHop is a nice brand and I loved using its coffee bean scrub. That has been discontinued I guess. HipHop Skin Care Instant Nail Polish Remover Wipes is the only sample that I got in my fab bag. I wish they had provided a full-sized product though since instant nail polish removing strips are quite usable while traveling. These strips are Acetone and Acetate free. These strips also contain Argan oil & Vitamin E.
I used one strip. I was able to remove nail paint from my toenails easily but I had to rub a lot on my fingernails since I was wearing SUGAR Tic Tac Toe Pro Cherry Christmas. It contains glitter and I was wearing multiple layers. Post removal, my nails look very clean and bright. I liked these instant nail paint removing strips.
Palmolive Skin Therapy Facial Bar
Since I got a skincare routine working for me, I can’t force myself to try anything new on my face. Palmolive Skin Therapy Facial Bar is lucrative but I would resist myself. I would like to use it for my body instead. My body would not mind some extra moisture and brightening effect. The soap smells very nice and fresh.
Sebamed Anti Dry Revitalizing Shampoo
I have used a few shampoo samples from Sebamed. They have fared well. I will also be trying out this anti-dry shampoo as I have dry hair. Even though BBlunt Intense Moisture Shampoo Conditioner For Seriously Dry Hair is working well for me, I think, I will carry this sample while I am traveling next month.
So these were all the contents of my bag. The bag is a bomb. It is a big steal indeed. I think this is the first time, I have received 7 items in a subscription box. The total cost of the bag comes out to be 1324 bucks excluding the cost of the Sebamed sample. The bag itself is pretty. I might gift it to a loved one or just use it myself.
How did you like Fab Bag January 2019- The Big Steal? I think it’s a big steal. Leave your comments.
