Dove recently launched it’s own range of body lotions as Glowing Ritual, Restoring Ritual & Invigorating Ritual. I picked up the glowing ritual and has been using it from over a week now. Day by day, winter is embracing and you just can’t stay no to a body lotion, hardly use any otherwise. I picked Dove Nourishing Secrets Glowing Ritual body lotion out of the three variants. I had no idea how moisturizing it would be. But as I tried it for the first time, I wondered how moisturizing the other variants would be. Glowing Ritual is heavily moisturizing for my skin. And here goes my details view on the same.

The body lotion comes in Dove’s shampoo like white bottle. The packaging is attractive and sturdy. The flip top cap fits perfectly and closes with a click sound. No leakage expected. Product manufacturing details, ingredients, price etc are mentioned over the pack.
Dove Body Lotion is available in 2 packs as in 250 ml & 400 ml. The 250 ml pack is not as compact to be carried in your handbag but, still is manageable in your luggage.
Fragrance & Texture
Speaking of a body lotion, the texture, it’s skin conditioning properties & it’s fragrance matter equally for me. My ideal body lotion is heavily moisturizing, quick absorbing and having a flower-y scent. If I say, that, Dove Nourishing Secrets Glowing Ritual Body Lotion, is almost like my ideal body lotion, it would not be wrong.
This Body Lotion is creamy & thick in texture, it has a powder-y feel as I rub it into the skin, but it absorbs really fast and leaves nothing behind, no oil, no stickiness or no powder. I notice only soft & moisturized skin.
Texture wise this body lotion is thick and it wont run down your palm if you tilt your hand. So as you go on using up the lotion, it kind of gets tricky to get the lotion out of the 400 ml bottle. Hope you get my point.
The fragrance of the body lotion is mild and flower-y, Dove claims it’s Lotus. I believe Dove.
My Experience With Dove Nourishing Secrets Glowing Ritual Body Lotion
As I have already spilled the beans, this body lotion speaks of moisture without oiliness. I have loved Ponds Triple Vitamin Moisturizing Boy Lotion since my childhood, but even you agree about the thickness and the residue that it leaves behind. So after wearing Ponds body lotion you would not like to touch anything because it is kind of sticky.
No stickiness issues with Dove body lotion. The texture of the body lotion is kind of thick but it magically gets absorbed into the skin. So there are no hand prints to be seen afterwords. Only happy skin and a happier me.
I use this body lotion mostly after my morning shower and do not re apply over my arms or legs, but over my hands I need re application of Dove Nourishing Secrets Glowing Ritual Body Lotion because my hands are rinsed a thousand times per day. That is relate-able, I guess.
Overall, Dove Nourishing Secrets Glowing Ritual Body Lotion, is quite a nice body lotion and I expect the other variants to be more creamy and rich in texture going by their titles. Dove has been a name behind moisturizing products and even the body lotion delivered what was expected. I would recommend trying Dove body lotions because they are good in moisture but sans stickiness.
