Hi,
I hate to put you guys on hold but I try not to write when I am not inspired enough to give you nice content. I have been meaning to do this post last week, but, I kept on postponing it since, I just could not pick a theme for the shoot. But being a girl, a woman, I really don’t need a theme to look pretty & flaunt it. Right?
Black. A Black Sharara. In the afternoon of a blooming summer, I wore a black sharara, which was as basic as it could get. No embroidery, no fancy work, just plain black satin sharara. But why would I choose such a basic piece? How it turned out to be so fancy?
I have never worn a sharara prior to this one. When shararas were in fashion, I never bothered to wear one. I was too ignorant of the trend. Now these flared pants are back, and this time, I just can’t miss it.
Simplicity never fails to impress. When you are not sure about adding elements, go basic, go simple. Even though black is itself very overpowering. A dominating color. If you don’t want the color to dominate the look, try adding some elements that can balance the aura of the color. Confused?
Satin is a beautiful, graceful versatile fabric. Specially these days, Satin seems to be the favorite of all designers. The fabric of the Sharara had to be satin only. Black on contrary is not a color that you would like to wear in summer, but, the color has such an effect on me that I get weak on my knees. Got my point.
A sharara is a kind of pant with flairs at the bottom starting below knees. Sheer net fabric did the trick for me. The net fabric adds bit of spiciness to the otherwise basic outfit. Don’t you agree?
To add some color I chose a beautiful vibrant Yellow colored dupatta to balance out the gothic look. To tone down the vampy look. I think it worked really well for me. The long tassel earrings in yellow just completed my look in no time.
It was a fun shoot. A photo shoot must involve some fun, otherwise, it shows in photographs.
