I think, lipstick is the very first makeup item that a girl tries on herself, like I did, like all of us did, and then, “a very serious, life time long and unspoken love affair starts.” Lipstick shades are bought just on the go, no second thoughts are given if a shade is pretty enough.
Hi girls, our lipstick love is a never ending saga, so today I am only going to talk about my nude lipsticks which are under 300 bucks i.e. budget buys a.k.a. Cheap Thrills. Nudes are must haves for a girl who is even little into makeup, whether it’s for her lips or eyes. If you plan to go little overboard with eye makeup, lips must be nude and vice versa.
Nudes too have a shade card. There are pinks, peaches, earthy browns and proper browns. You need to decide which kind of nude you want to go with. Well choosing the perfect nude for a particular look is entirely a different thing, we will talk about it some other time. Right now let’s see what I have got to show you.
Maybelline Color Show Creamy Matte Lipcolor Peach Personality (M303)
This is a very-pretty peach. I love it to the core. It has a very creamy consistency. Its pigmentation is also very good. It stays for 3-4 hours and fades away leaving pink tint on my lips which is again an awesome thing for me. It’s originally priced at about Rs. 325 but you can get it even for Rs. 225 via online shopping websites.
Incolor Cosmetics Lovers Rough Lipstick no 603
This is a pink colored lipcolor. Its consistency is very creamy and moisturising. It will suit every skin tone. Its staying power is not very good, but retouches can keep it in place. I got this between Rs 170-200. Don’t remember the price exactly since it was quite months ago and bought this just because of the pretty shade.
Coloressence Mesmerizing Lipstick Nude Suede
Coloressence make really good lipsticks. I have tried a lot of them, mostly because they are good dupes to high level lipsticks/glosses. This shade is earthy brown nude. It will flatter every skin tone and look. It is moisturiser but not as creamy as Maybelline color show creamy matte. . It is available only for Rs 150.
Coloressence Premia Nude Silk:
Priced at Rs. 250, it’s an earthy brown shade, with nice pigmentation and consistency. It stays put for about 3-4 hours.
Incolor Mettalic Lipstick no 53
This was another impulsive buy. Can’t help it. But it turned out to be a nice peach shade, which when worn right, brightens-up my face. It should be around 200 bucks. Talking about the consistency, it’s moisturising and creamy.
Coloressence Mesmerizing Lipstick Nector
It is a very gorgeous shade. The color, consistency & pigmentation are just perfect. It costs just 150 bucks. It was my everyday lipstick until somehow I misplaced it. Going to get it again.
Word of Caution
Peach colors unlike pinks, suit only fair skin tons. Like Maybelline Color Show Peach Personality, may wash out your face if you have medium/tanned skin tone. I am wheatish, and I too, wear it only on good and bright skin days. Also I try not to overdo it. Just hints of peaches do the magic.
