The brushes give almost zero fallout. The brushes surely last long. This kit is an ideal choice for gift to brides

Sometimes, you really get lucky. Few days back I was just browsing through my nearby cosmetic store and got my hands on Kylie Professional Powder Puff. It’s a basic makeup blender. I was not sure if it was a generic product. But I was priced only 200 bucks so I did not mind trying my luck. Some foundations are really techie to work with specially the ones with high coverage like Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. This foundation is really thick and needs a nice tool to ease the application. I tried Kylie beauty sponge to wear Double Wear foundation and was I impressed? You will know in a while. Kylie Professional Powder Puff This fine soft puff has a very good texture & villus density is high. The makeup sponge is a piece of fine work ship which gives a soft touch to skin. The sponge is durable & useful to be used for any kind of makeup. This is actually an essential tool for any makeup look. The puff does not deform. Price & Availability It’s an imported product and you can find it anywhere between 150 INR to 300 INR in Indian market online or offline. Packaging The puff comes packaged in a clear plastic box where the box has all the detailing about the product. The sponge is round in shape with pointed tip and flat base. Also Read Makeup Brush Guide PAC Wedge Makeup Sponge Puna Store Miracle Complexion Sponge How To Use Kylie Professional Powder Puff? Take some product over the puff, and dab across the desired area. Keep on dabbing until you get the desired finish & coverage. Use the pointed tip to reach under the nose, under eyes and to cover the blemishes. How To Take Care Of Kylie Professional Powder Puff? It’s very important to keep the puff clean to stop the breeding of bacteria. Simple take it under running water, apply a brush cleanser or mild shampoo. Rub the puff gently to get rid of the bacteria and makeup residual. Rinse under running water until the sponge is clear of soapy water. Squeeze the excess water out of the sponge & place it on a clean surface to dry it. It’s advisable to keep it under direct sunlight to protect from bacteria. My Experience L’Oreal Paris Infallible Stay Fresh 24HR Foundation & Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, are two really thick foundations even though they magically feel light on skin. Using just fingers, mostly give cakey look since the formulas are quick-dry. Using a makeup blender makes things bit easy. Kylie Professional Powder Puff is a dense sponge. I always use it bit damp so that it does not soak up my makeup. Rather it gives more natural finish. I take the foundation on the back of my hand, pick bit of the product with the sponge and dab it on my face. The tip of the sponge is great help for tiny areas like over & under the nose and under & inner eye area. The flat portion covers larger area like cheeks and the forehead. it’s really easy to work with the sponge. Even a beginner can work with this sponge. The makeup finish with the sponge is more natural & even as compared to what I get from my fingers since when you use your fingers the pressure might be uneven. I have also tried applying powder with it, which is again a nice experience. I like the fact that while washing it even if I twist it, the sponge retains it’s shape beautifully. There are no deformations I have noticed till now. Do I Recommend Kylie Professional Powder Puff? Yes. If you spot one, grab it. Kylie Professional Powder Puff, is a high quality makeup sponge which can be used to apply foundation, powder and other liquid/powder/cream makeup easily to attain natural & even finish. It’s easy to use & clean. Does not lose it’s shape. The sponge is very affordable & durable too. Here I conclude my review of Kylie Professional Powder Puff. I was quite lucky to find this amazing sponge. I still don’t know if it’s an original piece or fake and don’t even care now since it’s working amazingly for me. Do you ever happen to get lucky like this? You wandering eyes ever caught something amazing? Leave your comments below. Much Love. Nisha ❤

Let me be honest here and tell you that I do not use much makeup tools, whenever I am doing my makeup. Sometimes I would apply even eye shadow with my ring finger, it’s because either I am lazy or I am in hurry. But it does not mean that, I overlook the necessity of having & using makeup tools. Beauty blenders, for example, I find them very effective to get a flawless base. I like to use Puna Store Miracle Complexion Sponge, whenever I do makeup with all my peace gathered around me. I always crave to have that flawless base, with no streaks of foundation visible & which feels like my second skin. This sponge from Puna Store, delivers very satisfactory results. When Sreeparna talked about PAC makeup wedges, I realized, I too have this sponge, that I shall review for you. Let’s talk about this makeup sponge in detail. About Puna Store Miracle Complexion Sponge Get a flawless base with the help of this 3 in 1 multi functional sponge. Rounded sides will give better coverage at large area while the pointed tip will help to cover imperfections. Use the flat bottom under the eyes & nose. Made with latex free polyurethane foam, it has a versatile design. Now put on your makeup with ease and step out with smooth & enhanced finish. Price Rs. 499 for 1 piece of sponge. How To Use The sponge comes in a very functional shape. It has rounded sides, a flat bottom & a pointed tip. The sponge can be used dry or wet, I would recommend using it when damp. Dip it into the water & squeeze out all the water before using it. You either apply the product with the help of this sponge or can use the sponge to blend foundation/makeup after applying it with fingers. Use the rounded sides to blend the makeup on large areas of your face. Use the flat bottom to get flawless coverage under your eyes & nose. Use the pointed tip to cover the imperfections efficiently. How To Take Care Of The Sponge It’s really easy, put it under running water for few seconds, use a mild shampoo or brush cleanser to take out any product residue or until you feel the sponge is clean. Wash it again under running water to make sure all the soap is gone. Place it somewhere to dry it completely before using it again. I also try to put my sponge tools to put in direct sun light so that they do not develop any germs. You can wash it after every use or choose to wash it after using it for 2-3 times. But Do not use it more than that in one stretch, it would not work that effectively & may also lose it’s quality Packaging The sponge comes in a transparent packaging with product information printed on it. The sponge is light orange colored, and is almost is the size of an egg. It has a pointed tip and a flat bottom which makes it look exquisite, in my opinion and easy to hold too. Color & Texture The sponge is light orange colored, high quality sponge. Even after upon damping, I do not see major change in the size of the sponge, it means it is densely packed, hence can be used dry to apply the products. It won’t soak up much product. Less product wastage. The surface of the sponge is very smooth, hence gives very even finish. My Experience I feel it is quite a quality product. It is very affordable too. I got it from Amazon.in, where it sells just at Rs. 220, you save really big. Before using this sponge I was using Faces Foundation brush, to apply foundation, which used to give me nice finish too. Next I invested in this sponge, since every one was so raving about beauty blenders (such a fancy name, isn’t it?). I got my hands on it, since I just did not want to go ahead with a high end costly thing, since I mostly use my fingers to apply foundations (as I mentioned earlier). But I am happy to have this, I actually learned it is so much better to use a sponge than fingers sometimes to apply foundation or any base makeup. Dampening the sponge really does some real magic here. The moisture in the sponge gets transferred to your skin and you get a luminous and even finish. I have quite uneven skin texture due to acne/acne scarring, so it is tricky to achieve even finish with fingers, but this sponge works beautiful to help me get a much better finish. My foundation does not look caked up even if I apply multiple layers with this sponge. I do not have any issues with this sponge, as such except the fact that it has to be washed & dried every time I use it, sometimes it is too much of work for a lazy mother. Likes Quite functional design. Single sponge can blend makeup on the whole face including under eye area, nose & even small imperfections. Does not soak much product even if used dry. Very affordable. High quality product. Designed with Latex free foam. Dislikes None Summary : 5/5 Puna Store Miracle Complexion Sponge is a wonderful beauty blender and helps me achieve non cakey look without disturbing coverage. The product is high quality but is very affordable among all. I am also interested in using Puna Store’s makeup brushes they look quite fascinating. Have you used any product from Puna Store? Do you use a beauty blender? What is your experience? New to makeup & makeup brushes? Read this to get to know more about various makeup tools. Love.

Guest Review by Sreeparna Ganguly Makeup artists say, the kind of coverage and finish you are about to get from your foundation, cream blush or contouring products is highly dependent on the makeup tool you are using. If you are striving for natural to airbrush type finish, makeup sponges are the tools you should use. After the huge success of Beauty Blender, the Indian makeup market is now-a-days flooded with various kinds of makeup sponges with various price tags. Professional Artist Cosmetics aka PAC Cosmetics, a very raved-about brand in the blogosphere, makes some excellent makeup products and tools within everyone’s reach. Recently I purchased a set of 8 Wedge Makeup Sponge from them to try my hands on soak-and-use base-makeup applicator. Here is what I found about the product. About PAC Wedge Makeup Sponge Makeup Sponge Easy contouring, highlighting and concealing, even great with cream and powder eye shadow How to Use Soak the sponge in water and slightly squeeze the water out, you want the sponge to be semi-wet. Pick up the product with the more rounded side of the sponge. Stipple the foundation onto your face. Use the pointed side of the sponge for hard to get areas like around your nose or under your eyes. How to Take Care Of The Wedges Too reuse Cosmetic makeup puff, wash with mild soap and rinse thoroughly with warm water. For best results, use a fresh Cosmetic makeup puff for each application. Price Rs.150 for 8 Pcs. Buy here. Packaging This 8 piece set of wedge sponges are housed in a plastic reusable pouch. The front side of the pouch is made up of transparent plastic, making the wedges clearly visible from outside. The backside of the pouch is coloured in black and is completely opaque. All the product details are to be found in the back of the pack in white fonts. The packaging is nothing too fancy but reliable in terms of travel-safeness and compaction. If you put the sponges in the pouch and zip the vacuum-seal, the product is not going to go anywhere for sure! Color & Texture The sponges are milky white in colour. They are quite soft yet dense. When I soak my wedge in water, its size and softness increases noticeably. It takes at least 3-4 hours in even very hot climate to get fully dried. So, we can call its water carrying capacity excellent. Another good thing about the product is that, it does come back to its original shape as it dries off. Longevity These sponges are quite long-lasting. From the pictures you must have seen that only one sponge is dirty. That is because I did not need to replace it till now. I have already done 25-30 uses out of it and the condition of my sponge has not deteriorated a bit. It seems like this 150 bucks set of sponges would last me really long! My Experience I like to have natural finish to my face makeup which is not possible with fingers only. Whenever I am applying tinted product, I first warm it up with fingers and then spread it on the face. I use this wedge sponge for blending purpose only. This keeps my sponge cleaner and prevents wastage of foundation. This product needs to be soaked before use, just like any other Beauty Blender type products. 5-6 soaks-and-squeezes in plain water are enough to prepare my wedge for action. If I am applying powder product with it, I skip soaking and use it dry. To get optimal performance out of it, I try to take care of my sponge. I never ever forget to air dry it after each use. I have noticed one thing; these PAC wedges are very good at stipple-blending. I can complete the whole blending business within 1-2 minutes. Moreover, I get even and natural finish! I must say, I am quite impressed at the effectiveness of these wedges. Previously I used to have a lot of trouble to prevent my foundation from caking up. This problem got solved completely after I started to use this wonder product. Likes Provides efficient and quick blending of the base-makeup Easy to use and easy to clean product Reaches even the most unreachable nooks of the face Value for money product Soft and fluffy texture Maintains original shape Dislikes Could not find any Summary : 5/5 I would suggest this Makeup Sponge set to anybody who is in want of good quality wedge-shaped makeup sponge to apply foundation, contour, blush, powder or eyeshadow. I think everyone (from amateurs to pros) should try this product at least once. Tell me how does these makeup wedges sound to you? Leave your comments below. Take Care.

Hey, you pretty girls, how are you doing? Isn’t it getting difficult to get up in the morning day by day. You just feel like to snuggle for few more minutes before leaving the bed. How great does that cup of coffee feel in the morning or after you return from work in the evening? And then there are jackets and boots, to keep you cozy and stylish. Winters are so wonderful. Recently, I was discovered Audrey’s makeup brushes online. I looked out for reviews but I found none. So I thought let’s grab one, it’s not that costly. And I must say, God has been kind. It’s good and this proved to be a decent buy. Audrey’s Makeup Brushes There is nothing better than applying makeup with a right makeup brush. Each of brushes is uniquely designed to provide you beautiful, flawless coverage. The bristles of Audrey’s brushes are made with Taklon which has microscopic pock marks that resembles natural hair. The Bronzer Brush MUB-16 The firm rounded top of the Audrey’s Bronzer Brush perfectly applies bronzer all over the face and body. It is wide and fluffy powder brush with soft, thick and long bristles. This ensures an even application without any harsh streaks. When To Use Since oil or moisture on the skin can cause the bronzer to streak, apply a small amount of powder first as base. If your skin dry, apply sheer moisturizer evenly before applying the powder base. Bronzer looks the best when you don’t wear a lot of foundation. Keep foundation to minimum otherwise it would make your complexion to look like orange and muddy. How To Use Choose a Bronzer. The Purpose of a bronzer is to darken the complexion subtly. Hence it should be only a few shades darker than your real skin tone. Apply base powder. Swirl the Audrey’s Bronzing brush evenly in the bronzer. A little is all that is needed. To ensure an even application, tap off the extra bronzer. You can also rub the brush clean into a clean tissue to get rid of any extra product. Apply bronzer to the areas of the face the sun would naturally hit. Using light strokes, firt apply bronzer to the top of your forhead, cheekbones, temples, tip of chin, bridge of nose and around the eyes. Using a circular motion, appy on the cheek apple. Brush down lightly applying the bronzer to each side of the nose and under the lower lip. Build up the color gradually so you can get exactly the shade you want. Price Retails at Rs. 450 for one unit. I got it at a discount from Nykaa. Availability Available online. Have seen it at some retail stores also. Packaging It is a long handle brush with densely packed long bristles. The long handle is dual coloured. The bristles are packed in a golden coloured cylinderical compartment while the tail is long and black. The packaging has a bend for easy grip. My Views I got this brush for contouring purpose, to apply bronzer and highlighter. I also was hoping to get a nice blending out of it since it has very dens bristles. It is serving both the purposes. The bristles of this brush are really soft. The bristles are densely packed but it’s not a fluffy brush. It’s ideal to pick and apply little products. Hence it works nicely to apply blush, bronzer & highlighter. When you contour your face, you need to make sure, there are no streaks of bronzer. Also the edges should be blended into each other nicely. This bruhs has a very long handle. When I apply the product I hold it far from the tail so that a little product is applied, but when I need to blend the product into the skin, I hold it from the golden part for close grip. This way flawless blending can be achieved with this brush, even though it’s markes as a bronzer brush. I have used this brush to blend NYX face duo contouring shade, and some powder bronzers, it worked fine in both the cases. WIth liquids, it just take a lot of product. I first dip this brush into water, squeeze out the excess water and then use it. This way it does not soak much product. This way, it also gives natural finish. I have washed this brush every time I used this. I used a gentle baby shampoo and my palm to clean it with tap water. There was no shedding noticed. Likes Affordable. Multipurpose. Can be use to apply blush, bronzer & highlighter. Gives nice blending. Easy grip. Bristles are very soft. Works well for powder and liquid products. No shedding noticed. Can be cleansed easily. No animal hair used. Dislikes I think this is the longest brush in my vanity. Not travel friendly. Drinks up liquid products. Make sure to use it wet for liquids. Summary : 4.5 /5 Overall, it’s a nice brush to apply blush, bronzer and highlighter, also blends away the edges smoothly with soft and long bristles. Worth the price. Also Check Out Makeup Brush Guide How To Apply Foundation Love

“If used right, you can own the night.” – Makeup Brushes & Techniques To Use One might own fancy eye shadows, or contouring palettes but until she has the right brushes and use the right techniques all will be useless. So girls if you are all stocked up with your makeup kits, it’s time to learn about basic brushes you need to steal the limelight. Foundation Brush A foundation brush has densely packed bristles with a tapered tip to provide smooth and even liquid foundation application. You should always dampen your foundation brush, this way the brush will absorb less liquid and will still provide nice coverage. Concealer Brush A concealer brush is same as foundation brush just with little less bristles. Take little concealer on the tip of the brush and dab on the spot you want to conceal. Don’t blend, just dab, until you achieve desired even finish. Eye Shadow Applicator & Blender Eye shadows generally come with small applicator, which are mostly scratchy, so you must own at least one eye shadow brush. Eye shadow brushes are long tailed but have small bristles. The small but fluffy bristles, make them perfect for blending. You can even achieve smokey eyes look with a simple eye shadow brush. Blush/Compact Brush Blush/Compact/Highlighter/Bronzer, these all require very less amount to be picked up, applied blended seamlessly. Blush brush/powder brush comes with long tail and fluffy angled bristles. Swipe the brush across the blush/highlighter and then across your cheeks. Eye Liner Brush: Fill your lower lash with kohl or achieve a winged eye liner with the help of this brush. Gel eye liners in pot require these type of brushes. These brushes have very small pointy tip to pick small product & give you a precision line. You can build up the line width at your desire. Lip Brush: Fill your lips with desired colour from a pot of lip colour with the help of this brush. These brushes are almost the same as eye liner brush but not that pointy. This type of brush has small tapered tip so that you can fill your lips. Brow n Lash Brush This type of brush has two parts- Comb & small brush. Using the comb part, comb through the clumsy brows and lashes but gently. You can also take off excess mascara from your lashes with the comb part of the brow brush. The brush part of eyebrow brush could be used to brush the unruly thick brows. This is an essential brush in eye brow grooming mostly ignored. Try and see the difference by yourself. Some More Fancy Brushes, That You Might Be Interested Into Kabuki Brush These type of brushes has small handle but really fluffy and round tips. These are perfect to put on powder foundations or setting powders. Gently swipe the kabuki brush across the powder, tap the brush on the edge of the powder container to shed off the extra product. Apply the powder on your face by moving the brush in circular motion. Stippling Brush A stippling brush is used to achieve air brush finish. You can apply foundation, blusher, highlighter anything you want. Mostly stippling brushes have two types of bristles, dense black bristles at the bottom, fluffy white bristles at the top. Pick foundation via white bristles and gently pat on your face like you are dotting the product on. Now gently swirl the brush in small circular motion to achieve a flawless finish. Blending Brush As the name says, its used for blending purposes, be it eye shadow, highlighter or bronzer. Streaks of colours on eye or cheeks won’t look good. Blending is the key to flawless makeup. The blending brushes are fluffy. Smudger Brush This type of brush is used to smoothen the eye shadow edges in a smokey eye look. After you have applied the kohl to your eyes, lightly swipe the smudger from one end to other. Repeat until, desired look achieved. Angular Brush These are regular brushes with just an angled cut so that it can take care of your high and low points. Be it eye shadow blending or perfect blush application, you need precision. Angular brush takes care of that precision. You are supposed to put the angled side against your cheek and then glide across your cheek maintaining the same angle. Viola, you are done. Fan Brush This brush comes handy if you encounter an accident with your eye shadow. Lightly fluff away the fallen eye shadow off your under eyes. Also you can apply powder blush, highlighter or bronzer. When you need an even but sheer coverage, fan brush is helpful. Beauty Blender Or Makeup Brush? Beauty Blenders are so hit these days that most of the brushes are ditched. You can apply foundation, highlighter, bronzer all just with the help of a beaut blender. Beauty Blender are specially designed makeup sponges with pointed tip to attain perfectly blended edges. So you can replace some basic brushes with a beauty blender. But if you are a hardcore makeup lover, you won’t want to replace any brush to keep the originality. Beauty blenders can be handy while travelling though. I started with Vega brushes and very quickly moved to Colorbar & PAC brushes, very few from MAC. Colorbar & PAC brushes worked like charm. Vega brushes are affordable but quality is not that impressive. How To Clean Your Brushes? You can either use ready made brush cleaning pads or simply the palm of your hand. Bring the brush under the running tap. Now sprinkle little hand wash/ gentle shampoo on the brush. Rub it against the cleaning pad or your palm. Rinse. Repeat if required. Put the brushes in a brush holder or a glass/mug to dry naturally. I will try to add more brush types and pictures, keep on checking back. Hope you enjoyed this post. Was it helpful?
