I will be reviewing these lipsticks and lip glosses for you so that you can get to know if these sets are worth buying. The lipsticks are matte while the nail paint is glossy. The lip glosses are known as NELF Velvet Sheen Lip gloss. NELF Valentine’s Day Special Gift I like NELF lipsticks because they are lead free. While even the big brands do not refrain from putting lead in their lipsticks. I have used NELF 9 to 6 All Day Long Lipsticks, NELF The Miami Stick Lipsticks and NELF Powder Matte Lipsticks. Had quite a wonderful experience too. NELF Valentine’s Day Special Gift Sets are improved version of lipsticks and lip glosses in terms of quality and packaging. Set 1 – NELF VT Lipsticks I got 4 shades from this newly launched range. The shades are very apt for the Valentine’s Day. Not just for the Valentine’s Day but actually will suit every special day. The lipsticks being matte are long lasting. I have been wearing a coral shade since the morning and I could still see a tint on my lips while I am writing this piece. Price: – The lipsticks are priced at only Rs. 199. Texture & Formula The lipsticks are matte but has very creamy formula. The formula really hydrates lips. You can notice bit of sheen when you apply these shades. It does not settle into fine lines neither it accentuates fine lines on my lips. The final finish is semi matte to matte. Packaging NELF has improved packaging of it’s lipsticks. The packaging of these lipstick is really of high quality. The shades come in an all black matte case. The lipsticks close with a sound of click which makes them travel friendly. NELF VT 18 Incense Pink This is a beautiful pink peachy shade. It has more of pinks and less of peach which makes it suitable wear for all skin types. NELF VT 19 Sizzle Red It’s an absolute gorgeous deep red. It’s a shade that will suit all the Indian skin tones as it has warm undertones. NELF VT 20 Delicacy It’s an earthy shade with bit of pinks. The shade will go well with smokey eyes, which might be your go to look for your special night. NELF VT 23 Fuchsia Obsession And lastly we have a mauve shade. Mauve is very wearable shade and really preferable for date nights. NELF Nail Laquer NSE03 Obsession I got a very beautiful bright red shade nail lacquer in my first gift set. The shade is very beautiful. I like the pigmentation as well as the glossy finish that it gives to my nails. Price: Rs. 99/- Set 2 – NELF Valvet Sheen Lip Gloss This is the first time that I have been using lip gloss from NELF. Actually I generally don’t use lip glosses. My first choice is always matte lipsticks. I received 5 lip glosses from NELF. They are all chosen to be as a Valentine’s Day set. The shades include coral, red, mauve and pinks. Price: Rs. 150 -/ Packaging The packaging of the lip glosses is again very sturdy. The shades come in a transparent tube with a black applicator fitted at the top. The applicator is bit tiny and hence gives clean application. The shade numbers are mentioned at the bottom of the tubes. Formula & Texture The lip glosses nice pigmentation, but to give an even finish, multiple swipes are required. Few shades are more pigmented than the others as you can see in the picture. The finish is absolutely gorgeous. It’s not ultra glossy but has a sheen, which make them wearable for day time too. NELF Velvet Sheen VSL01 Tangerine Flame It’s a subtle orange shade. The shade is very lively and gives a fresh look to the face. NELF Velvet Sheen VSL04 Berry Red This is a red shade in the set. The shade gives that glamorous look that you want on your special night. NELF Velvet Sheen VSL05 Winter Romance If you shy away from reds, this coral shade is a perfect fit for you. NELF Velvet Sheen VSL08 Passion Fruit This is a dark shade. It’s a deep wine shade which is very wearable for all skin tones. NELF Velvet Sheen VSL12 Mandarin Crush This is an earthy shade which you might want to go with a smokey eye. It’s not a classic red, but is a Crimson Red with Gold Glitters. The glitter particle are very tiny hence it gives a nice sandy texture to the nails. So the finish is smooth but looks quite sandy because of the glitter particles in the nail lacquer. This Crimson Red shade is very apt for every season as it does not scream attention rather is a sophisticated shade. I chose this shade because I already had some darker shades in this metallic range. This one is definitely different. A Mauve Metallic never falls short of the occasions that you can wear it on. Are you addicted to SUGAR? Well, I am. But hey before you roll your eyes, let me clarify, I am talking about SUGAR Cosmetics and not the ‘Johny Johny Yes Papa’ famed sugar. Lame joke? Sorry. Let me talk some sense now. SUGAR Tic Tac Toe Classic Nail Lacquer Pop The Purple is today’s topic of review, which I got in my Fab Bag June 2018 subscription. Sugar nail paints are very hit among fashionistas as these nail paints deliver high performance while being affordable as compared to high end brand. Sugar Tic Tac Tow Bowl Of Berries Nail Lacquer is my favorite from the range. My expectations were real high from this purple nail paint. So how did Pop The Purple perform? Her is my observation. Sugar nail paints are definitely rocking the world. The rich color pigments, smooth finish and affordable prices are making them everybody’s favorite. The range offers, Matte, Pro & Classic nail paints. Matte nail paints are obviously provide matte finish. Sugar Pro Nail Lacquer range offers glitter while the classics are glossy nail paints. SUGAR Tic Tac Toe Classic Nail Lacquer Pop The Purple This is a light purple shade which is very apt for summer wear. A pastel shade that you would love to flaunt for your casual outings The shade is very lively and very beautiful. My stash literally lacked such summery shade and now I can’t take my nails off of this nail lacquer. This pastel shade is from classic range hence has bit of shine to it. I would have loved a matte pastel though. Nail paints are not subjected to complexions, hence anyone can wear this beautiful shade. Formulated in France, SUGAR Tic Tac Toe Classic Nail Lacquer Pop The Purple is non-toxic and is free from NINE i.e. No Parabenes, Formaldehyde , Toluene, DBP, Camphor, Xylene, Formaldehyde Resin, Ethyl Tosylamide, Acetone. Price: The shade is very affordable at Rs. 199. Buy it here. How TO Wear SUGAR Nail Paint? SUGAR nail paints are tricky to apply because of the brushes they get hipped with. The brush of Sugar nail paints is generally very big width wise. If your nails are small in width, You really might get uneven application. The only way is to dip the brush inside the bottle, swipe the brush across the mouth of the bottle to take of extra paint, and then slowly paint our nail with a steady hand. Also make sure your hands are lying steadily on a flat surface to avoid shaky hands. Do not apply 2-3 coats at once. Apply the nail paint one by one coat allowing enough time to dry the paint. Texture & Pigmentation SUGAR Tic Tac Toe range is popular for it’s rich pigmentation which sometimes leads to thick texture. The texture sometimes solidifies giving uneven application. Though Pop The Purple has smooth texture but is not as thick as I have seen in other sugar nail paints. It actually goes bit transparent in the very first coat. So you definitely need at least 2-3 coats before you get a nice opaque finish. It kind of startled me. I never expected this from a Sugar nail lacquer. Don not apply 2-3 coats at once, other wise your nail paint will get really messy and will take ages to dry. Longevity? Does SUGAR Tic Tac Toe Classic Chaps? If do not involve in household work, this nail paint is definitely going strong for a week. Given that you are wearing 2-3 coats of the shade, I love the fact that there is no chapping of the nail paint. It really sticks to the nail. So you don’t really need to touch up even after 4-5 days. To remove Sugar Nail Paints, you need a really nice nail paint remove. A nail paint remover should be gentle on hands while containing Vitamin E and other such moisturizing nourishing ingredients. I generally use Lakme/Maybelline/Blue Heaven nail paint remover. Sugar nail paints take some time, but they get cleared off the nails. Above all, SUGAR Tic Tac Toe Classic Range is free of harmful chemicals. The promise of performance stays. Even though I faced bit of pigmentation issues with SUGAR Tic Tac Toe Classic Pop The Purple Nail Lacquer, it stays put for a week without fuss. The color, shades & pigmentation is wonderful. The contouring palette has 2 shades for highlighting, a contouring matte shade & one bronzer. This palette can also be used for eye makeup as Ishika loves to do 🙂 The blusher palette has 4 shades which can cover light to deep skin tones. Ishika told us how she likes to use 2 to 3 shades of this palette to give a healthy pink glow to her face. She is such a beautiful soul & has bubbly personality. She is great fun to be with. Nail Paints The nail paint shades from Bharti Taneja Makeup range are totally apt to the wedding season. They were all shiny. Dr. Taneja told us, they would stay at least a week even if you are busy in your kitchen every single day. The formula is anti-chip-off. The shine stays for long. Hey Girls, How do you like Matte Nail Lacquer? I like them very much. I know shiny nails look glamorous but matte nails are so in. From a long time, I have been looking for a nice black matte nail color. To get that perfect black matte I tired many brands. Finally Nykaa Matte Nail Lacquer in Black Sesame Pudding ended my search. Black matte nails are my current obsession. I have used few nail lacquers from Nykaa earlier & I was sure this brand won’t disappoint me. I purchased this black beauty without hesitation after failing to find the peace of my heart in other brands. Why I am praising this black bottle so much? I think the pictures would tell you why. Packaging The packaging is alluring. Black Sesame Pudding comes in a classic rectangular frosty bottle with a long cap at the top. The packaging is so chic I tell you. The quality of the bottle is sturdy as I have tested accidentally. I dropped the bottle twice on the floor but it did not break. The brush applicator of the nail color has perfect width. It is neither too thin, nor too thick. Just perfect to go seamlessly on my nails. Shade – Black Sesame Pudding Honestly I find the name not so attractive. It could have been named more classy or chic. But never mind as long as it works beautifully on my nails. It is an absolute black shade. Black can not be darker than this shade I bet. The finish is matte and it looks gorgeous and classy on every skin tone. Pigmentation The formula of the nail color is not as rich as of Sugar’s matte range. It is like half pigmented as compared to the Sugar’s nail paints. So I feel two coats are really necessary to achieve that nice, completely matte finish. I wold not say single coat cannot cover the nail. But the finish is not that nice. While Sugar Mattes never call for second coats. Single coat is always enough. Longevity On Nails The color does stay on nails for 3-4 days without chipping, as I have noticed. But then I am also protecting my nails. I use hand gloves to perform house hold duties that might harm nails such as cleaning. After 3-4 days, the formula starts wearing off/chipping off. I feel that is decent performance. Nykaa Black Sesame Pudding Nail Lacquer is a nice matte nail color which is easy on pocket and performs very well on nails too. It is Five Free which means free of Formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, formaldehyde resin, and camphor. The formula is quick drying, takes two coats to look classy & looks stunning on every skin tone & occasion. The range has 30 mesmerizing shades to explore. Do you like Matte Nail Colors? The six shades from the range are highly pigmented and super long lasting on your nails. The beautiful bright shade in matte texture really enhance the beauty of your nails. Price Rs. 175 for 6ml. Buy here. Packaging The matte nail paint comes in a transparent but frosty small glass bottle having a black long cap cum applicator at it’s mouth. The cap has fabulous bright colored graphics with Bright Mattes printed in bold. The shade name is also printed at the top of the cap. The brush applicator is very nice and handy to apply the shade on the nails. It gives enough coverage to my nails. I need two swipes of the brush side by side to cover my nails. I actually had an issue with SUGAR Tic Tac Toe nail paint brush, since they are too wide that, while going side by side during application, the second swipe always messes my first coat. Shades Available The range offers six brilliant bright bold shades – Blazing Orange, Peppy Pink, Fiery Fuschia, Cheerful Coral, Lively Rose & Brilliant Rose. Shade – Brilliant Red It is a beautiful tomato red shade. The color is bright but since the texture is matte, it goes bit muted sometimes depending upon the light conditions. But it is suitable for all skin tones. It can work as an everyday shade too since it is matte. Fragrance & Texture It has that acetone smell to it. You just can’t escape that for sure. The pungent smell stays on my nails for some time after, like for half an hour depending upon how frequently I wash my hands. Texture of the nail paint is quite runny. It is easy to take out the product since there are no clumps in the consistency. It goes smoothly on my nails and dries off as quickly as I apply it which implies the formula is quick dry. I do not have to wait for another coat which I rarely go for. Pigmentation & Finish It is highly pigmented nail paint. I would not say it is as pigmented as SUGAR Tic Tac Toe range (the range really sets a standard… doesn’t it?) . Enough pigmented to give an opaque finish in just one swipe unlike Lotus Herbals nail enamels . I hardly ever go for a second coat. The finish of the nail paint is obviously matte. Plain matte. Just my type of matte. In case you are more into shiny shades, swiping a top coat of transparent nail shade will definitely work for you. Longevity Stays about a week and there are few tears and bit of chipping since I need to perform household duties. I feel at this price, the quality & longevity of the nail paint is really awesome. I really adore this cute little pot of red matte nail paint. It really is gorgeous. It does not look really loud on my nails and goes with my skin tone. It is affordable & easily available. I really recommend this shade and this range if you are looking for matte nail paints. I just wish Maybelline brings more matte shades specially some blues & teals. Hi Girls, Maybelline Color Show Nail Enamel is a budget friendly and colorful range for your nails. The range is Formaldehyde, DBP and Toluene free. It’s been around for a long time. the range gets juicier every season. Recently Maybelline introduced Matte shades in the already existing colors. I shall talk about the matte range some other time. Today I am going to write about a quirky shade from the range – Ladies Night. It is a pretty bold shade for night outs & high time. I like to wear it for some extra oomph factor. Hope you too like it. The range is pretty fabulous considering the shade variants & colors and not to forget the different textures available in the range. You can find nail polish, nail color, nail lacquer, mattes, shiny colors, glitter and what not. The glitter range did not really impress me with the pigmentation, but other variants are pretty good considering the price range. Price Rs. 110 for 6ml. Buy here at discounted price. Packaging Maybelline Color Show Nail Enamel comes packed in small cylindrical pots with black cap & applicator brush at the top. The packaging is quite prone to breakage if accidentally dropped on the floor. I already broke 2 shades from the range without even wearing them once on my nails. The applicator is thin but efficient, I like it since it makes it easy to apply the color on my not so wide nails. Shade – Ladies Night 006 This is a beautiful electric blue shade. It is bright & bold. It is full of shine and looks very glamorous on my nails. The fabulous shade is perfect for night puts & parties. Fragrance & Texture The nail paint is very runny. It drips if taken in excess. I wipe of the extra paint against the mouth of the bottle. Fragrance in a nail paint can not be avoided. This too smells heavily of acetone, which stays on nails after application for about half an hour or so. Pigmentation The pigmentation of the nail enamel is actually impressive. Even though it is runny but it is not thin in color. It gives nice opaque finish to the nail in the very first stroke. Make sure to let the color dry off before putting up another layer to avoid application. Finish The nail enamel gives nice shine to the nails with opaque color. The nails look really beautiful as well as glamorous at the same time. Shiny nails are definitely a must have for night outs. Longevity If you do not do much household stuff, then the shade & shine will stay intact for about 4-5 days, as I have tested. But if you have to take care of home & other homely duties, of course you will notice loss of shine as well as color chipping off from the top of your nails in just 2-3 days. You should wear gloves while carrying out cleaning etc. to take care of your nails & hands in general. Likes Maybelline Color Show Nail Enamel Ladies Night is quite bold & quirky. Nice smooth texture. The paint is free of Formaldehyde, DBP and Toluene. Applicator is efficient. Packaging is compact. Budget friendly. Easily available. Lots of variants in shade & texture available. Pigmentation is good. Longevity is good if take care of your hands. Dislikes Not every shade from the range is that much pigmented. The peach shade I got with this Ladies Night, was very thin in consistency and the pigmentation was not that good. Also the glittery shades does not have much color to them. The color pay off is less while glitter is quite chunky. Summary : 4.5/5 I absolutely like the range for the budget factor associated with this range. Shiny shades are worth trying from this range. Dark shades are nice in color pay off. Good Morning. I thought let’s start the day with some color on nails today. Here I am presenting review of Johara Pro Shine Nail Color in Toffee Brown. Johara says, that Pro Shine is a fabulous range which presents a range of wide colors speaking of romance, sophistication & style. So now fun is on your fingers & charm is on your toes. Let’s get to know this nail color more in detail. Price Rs. 250 for 10ml. Ingredients Packaging There is a small black card box with “Johara Pro Shine Nail Color” printed over it in white fancy font. The black card box also contains ingredient list & some more information about the nail paint. Inside is a cylindrical glass pot with silver cap cum applicator fitted at the top. The applicator of the nail paint is quite slim, hence won’t cover whole nail in one go. But I find that all right. I liked the simple & elegant packaging which is sturdy enough for travel purpose. Shade Description – Toffee Brown This is a beautiful light brown shade with lot of shimmer & shine in it. The color is beautiful & going to suit every skin tone due to it’s earthy nature. First swipe of the color over nails give a rose-gold color while the second coat brings out the true shade of the nail paint. Fragrance & Texture It has typical acetone smell. I think nail paints just can’t escape the smell because of their formulation. Right? The texture is more runny than SUGAR Tic Tac Toe Nail Lacquer, so have to be quick to apply it. Pigmentation The pigmentation of the nail paint is average. As I mentioned earlier, the color looks more of Rose-Gold than brown with first swipe. Even though Rose- Gold looks great on hands, but to bring out the true color of the nail paint, you must go for a second swipe. It’s not highly pigmented as Bowl of berries from SUGAR. Finish Pro Shine is a shimmery-shiny range from Johara, the finish of this shade – Toffee Brown, is also shiny with the hints of shimmer in it. The nails look really shiny. The finish is perfect for night outs & parties. Longevity The nail color stays intact for 3-4 days & later it starts fading off. After using SUGAR nail lacquers, I find this nail lacquer to be average in performance. I feel since the pigmentation of the nail paint is average, hence the nail paint starts fading off soon. Likes Beautiful shade. Quick dry formula. The range is full of shine & shimmer. Perfect for night outs & events. Elegant & sturdy packaging. Affordable. Dislikes The pigmentation & the longevity are average. Summary : 4/5 Johara Pro Shine Nail Color Toffee Brown, is a beautiful shade from the range, but for the same price, there are much better performing nail paints. If you do not mind touching up regularly or like to change your nail paint every 3-4 days, you can go ahead with the range. Have you used nail paints form Johara? Hi, I am wearing SUGAR Matte AS Hell Lip Crayon in Holy Golightly on my lips everyday. With this lip crayon I also purchased SUGAR Tic Tac Nail Lacquer in Holy Golightly. Today I am going to review this non toxic & parabene free nail paint from SUGAR. SUGAR has a beautiful range of nail paints in classic, matte & pro ranges. SUGAR Tic Tac Toe Nail Lacquer Matte SUGAR launched trending shades of its very Nail Lacquer range by the title- TIC TAC TOE, quite catchy. I like how SUGAR names it’s product lines, Ultra Trendy, so are these nail paints which are strikingly pigmented & packaged in classy rectangular glass bottles giving your nails ultra opaque finish/ shine with just one coat. There are 3 lines of nail paints, one is matte, another one is named as classic, giving out the ultra shine to your nails & a pro line. I am sure nail paint lovers are going to go crazy about this range from SUGAR. Price Rs. 249 for 10ml. Packaging The nail paint comes in SUGAR signature, abstract card board packaging showing a girl with covering her eyes with her fingers revealing only her long pink nails & pink lips. Super Chic Cover, I would say. Inside you find a trendy nail paint in super classy rectangular glass pot with a long black applicator with SUGAR imprinted over it. The packaging is really likable. The applicator has quite thick brush to cover the whole nail at once, well almost the whole nail. With Matte range, the brush is little too thick. Shades There is something for every one. Be it the finish or color. SUGAR offers Matte, Shiny & Glittery nail paints. You can visit SUGAR to choose yours. Shade Description – Holy Golightly It is an everyday wear Pastel-Pink/Plum-Pink shade. The same shade from the lip crayon range goes nude on lips, while on nails it looks pretty chic. Texture & Smell The texture is thick but runny & real smooth. It goes on my nail like a dream. I get the desired finish in just one swipe. Pigmentation Be it any range from SUGAR Tic Tac Toe, the pigmentation is top notch. As the consistency of the nail paint is thick it gives opaque finish to the nail in just one swipe. The formula is quick dry. Dries off in a blink of eye. That’s impressive. Finish This is a Matte color hence the finish is opaque & matte completely. Longevity Moni, has been wearing the shade for more than 5 days and there is almost no chipping or fading noticed. The intensity is the same . I so love how beautiful the color looks on my nails. Likes Super intense & quick dry formula. This particular shade is a very pretty everyday color. Collection of Matte, Classics- Shiney & Pro- Glittery nail paints. Lasts long on nails with same intensity. Affordable & economical. Dislikes Available only online. Summary : 4.5/5 I find this range from SUGAR, very pigmented, long lasting & affordable. There are so many pretty colors in the range that I would like to own. I would also love to get my nails on (pun intended) some pro shades. I think you guys should try this range too.
