Using organic and natural skin care and hair care products is not a myth or luxury. It’s actually a basic necessity. You can choose any organic brand or just go with DIY face wash, scrubs and masks, but stay gentle to your skin and hair care. Since past few months I tried out many products from St. Botanica. The brand offers 100% natural ingredients, safe formulations and attractive packaging. I happened to use many products from their hair care and skin care line. I am sharing the best St. Botanica skin care from my haul.
5 Best St. Botanica Skin Care Products You Must Try
St. Botanica Moroccan Argan OIl Anti Wrinkle Under Eye Cream
Even though I love this eye cream, I think that’s quite a long name for a small pot of eye cream. After using St. Botanica Pure Radiance Under Eye Cream, I came across this Moroccan Argan Oil infused anti wrinkle under eye cream. This eye cream is for more mature eyes that have developed wrinkles.
Texture wise, the cream is very fine, butter-y smooth and spreads easily on eye area. Little bit of patting and it gets absorbed into the skin. The eye cream is almond-colored. It has very faint pleasant smell. It leaves no oily or sticky feeling behind. I use it twice every day. It does not interfere with any makeup worn upon it. It moisturizes eye area very well, so I am sure I am not developing fine lines or wrinkles any time sooner.
It is priced at Rs. 899 but is available as a nice discount at Amazon. Buy Now.
St. Botanica Vitamin C, E & Hyaluronic Acid Brightening Night Cream
A vitamin C based night cream is my first choice. This night cream from St. Botanica along with Vitamin C also contains Vitamin E & Hyaluronic Acid. It’s power packed with anti oxidants and nourishment without posing a threat to my pores. It has bit of pungent smell, but does not irritate my nose. It goes away after application.
The cream itself is light pink in color, light weight and absorbs quickly. The best thing about this cream is the fact that it does not even feel like that I am actually wearing a night cream. Generally night creams are bit heavy for me. I feel suffocated, but this cream is lightweight in true sense. In love with it since I used it the first time on a peak summer night.
It does work in brightening up skin tone. Helps in fading scars, though takes some time. It also provides the hydration an oily skin needs. I would suggest to use a heavy duty moisturizer on top of this cream if you have dry skin. I feel this is one of the best St. Botanica product.
The cream is priced at 1199, but is available at amazon at a heavy discount. Buy here.
St. Botanica Vitamin C 20%, E & Hayluronic Acid Serum
St. Botanica has an intensive range of facial serums for different skin types. I picked up Vitamin C serum for the obvious reasons. I love how quickly Vitamin C yields results.
St. Botanica Vitamin C Serum, is orange colored and has orange juice like consistency. It absorbs fast but I feel bit of stickiness as orange juice would leave behind. It’s temporary and skin feels matte within a few minutes. It comes in a dark colored glass bottle with a pump so it’s quite convenient to use it.
I am bit neutral about the results of this product. I could never make out the brightening effect that I could account this serum for. But it’s good to be used with the Vitamin c cream reviewed above. Use the serum and then the night cream for best results.
St. Botanica Argan Radiance Oil
Facial Oils are good even if your skin is oily. Argan oil is full of nourishment, it could be bit heavy, so you could dilute it using your moisturizer or any serum. I take 2 drops of this facial oil, and mix with rose water before applying it on my face. It gives nourishment, sans heaviness. It has a very mild fragrance. I use during cold nights when my oily skin develops dry spots. This facial oil is supposed to provide anti ageing results. Another best St. Botanica product out there.
The facial oil priced at Rs. 999 but is available at a nice discount. Buy here.
St. Botanica 24K Gold Mask
I usually stay away from anything that claims to contain gold particles, but this one is something I have used and loved. This mask actually contains a lot of other things that my skin loves. St. Botanica 24K Gold Mask contains Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, Retinol which give amazing results to skin.
The mask is gel based, with visible gold flakes (I doubt this is real gold). I apply a thin layer on my already cleansed skin. Leave it for 15-20 minutes, wipe it off. It brightens skin. Gives a nice glow. It’s a good mask for instant glow.
The mask is priced at an hefty amount of Rs. 3499 but is available at a heavy discount at Amazon. Buy here.
The Least Favorite Product From St. Botanica
Even though the products of St. Botanica are priced on a higher side, the results justify the price. There is one product I don’t use after using once, because it kind of did not deliver the finish I was expecting from it. It’s not among the best St. Botanica products for sure.
St. Botanica Vitamin C SPF 75 Dry Touch Sunscreen
It says Dry Touch, but it does not go dry on my oily skin. I bought it with lots of expectations including matte finish. It gives a sheen to my skin, which I did not expect and I totally detest since I have oily skin. It makes my skin shine like crazy.
Apart from the finish, it gives super sun protection as it contains SPF 75.
St. Botanica Anti ageing & Brightening Cream
I love the lightweight texture and the mild fragrance of this day cream. It has got some amazing ingredients like, Vitamin C, Retinol, Hayluronic Acid. The only thing that puts me off is the fact that it contains SPF25. Any day cream that contains SPF, breaks me out. Even though it has a very lightweight texture, it gave me some blocked pores so I stopped using it. End Of Story.
Here I conclude my love story with the brand. It kind of ended on a hate note when the day cream broke me out. But there are some gems in the brands, do check them out.
Much Love,
Nisha Malik ❤
